Probably hands down the best cake I have ever had (still eating it a week later!) It was a recommendation from a friend and that recommendation did not disappoint! Will definitely make sure to try and stop by whenever we are in the Harrisonburg area! We had some additional leftover cake and when I brought it into my office, everyone was coming up to me raving about how good it was! Pricing was also really good for the quality and design that we received! Would recommend them for weddings and just to get good dessert!

I want to thank Erica and Bittersweet Bakery for being so great to work with during the planning stage of my daughter’s September wedding. She went above and beyond for us in every way. The bride & groom cake was elegantly decorated and turned out perfectly! The dessert table was beautiful and a hit with our guests. We loved our choices: cake balls, bitesize cheesecakes, key lime tarts and cupcakes! Thank you for all that you did to make our daughter’s once-in-a-lifetime day all that she had dreamed of!

Bittersweet Bakery made our cake for our elopement. The cake was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Our vision was captured so beautifully. They even opened a bit early so we could pick the cake up when we needed to to better fit our schedule. I would HIGHLY recommend using Bittersweet Bakery for your wedding desserts!

We are so glad we chose Bittersweet Bakery to make our wedding cake! From the start, the experience was amazing. We loved the tasting beforehand and were so impressed by how many delicious flavors there were to choose from. It made it hard to pick just a few. The baker was so easy to work with and recreated exactly the idea we had in mind for our cake. It turned out beautifully and was perfect for our wedding day. Bittersweet Bakery is such a gem in Harrisonburg, and we’re so thankful they were part of our celebration.

I chose this bakery to make my wedding cake and I have absolutely no regrets!! Communication was always great with Erica and she always answered any questions I had with clarity. I loved how reasonable her prices were and all the different kinds of flavors she offered! She was even happy to accommodate a custom flavor for us with turned out SO amazing. We went with a pineapple flavored cake, strawberry buttercream layered filling with a vanilla buttercream coat. All of our guests RAVED about how delicious the cake was and how they went for seconds!!! It was perfectly moist and tasty. Delivery to Cville and execution was successful. Thank you Erica for this beautiful addition to our wedding!! (Florals on cake are not provided by the bakery)

We had Bittersweet Bakery cater our wedding for desserts. We did a small couple cake (red velvet), cake balls, cupcakes, and cookies. We got SO many compliments about how delicious all the desserts were. They delivered and set up beautifully. Their response to email was good and they were very friendly. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I’ve had two cakes made by Bittersweet Bakery and both times they’ve been absolutely perfect and exactly what i wanted. I’ve also gotten so many comments from guests that they loved the cake and the icing was perfect. If you need a cake for any event I really cannot recommend Bittersweet bakery enough! We ordered our wedding cake and cupcakes from Bittersweet Bakery. They did such an amazing job from the tasting to the execution at the wedding yesterday. The cupcakes had extra decoration and flair that we were not expecting. Our guests were impressed with our cake and cupcakes quality and appearance. Erica (part-owner) has been so easy to work with, communication with me throughout wedding preparation and always answering my questions in a timely and professional manner. I also felt the price was very reasonable for the outstanding quality of the desserts.
If you're considering using Bittersweet Bakery, I can't encourage you to go for it enough.

In a small city where quality food is difficult to find, Bittersweet Bakery is heavenly. They have a really nice assortment of sweets and savories and each item I've tasted is absolutely delicous!!! The 2 owners have palates that are spot on! Highly, HIGHLY recommend that you give this small bakery a try if you haven't already. They have a weekly menu that varies, which is really nice so you can try an assortment of baked goods at different times. You can also order online for pick up and place custom orders. Their key lime pie is absolutely delicious! As is their garlic cheddar biscuits and their cheesecake, just to name a few. Check them out! Your taste buds will thank you!!!

We had Bittersweet Bakery do our wedding cake and it turned out phenomenal! During the planning process, Bittersweet accommodated several tastings, and accommodated special requests/decorations we had for our cake. Their communication throughout the planning process was prompt, despite them being very busy. Highly recommend Bittersweet for your wedding or any other special event!
