I absolutely loved the food, felt like I was back home eating Indonesian food. Service was great, the cook came out to talk with all the customers, great place.

Great Indonesian restaurant! I got the fried noodles with chicken, and the sambal sauce. I really enjoyed the flavor! My husband got the beef rendang. I thought it was very very tender, but was lacking some flavor. We also got the chicken satay and the fusion spring rolls and they were good. The vegan coffee was so delicious!! Our server was really friendly and helpful. Really appreciate that they have a good selection of vegan options!!!

the rating/stars are irrelevant because i didn't actually eat here or order from here and this is why:i was very excited to try the Chicken Soup everyone in the reviews has been raving about. i called the restaurant and they informed me a 16 oz. soup costs $10. most places give you a 32 oz. soup for the same price even good Thai restaurants in Harrisonburg.i can't afford to spend $10+tax on a 16 oz. soup, otherwise, i would have loved to try it. the rest of the menu is very expensive , even charging $6+ for veggie rolls. if you guys can bring down the price to make it accessible for the area, i will try it. i've never seen so many trailer parks in one town, so pricing the menu as such given this demographic is absolutely wrong.

Everything we got was amazing. The staff was extremely nice and fun. It's a very small place so make sure to either have a reservation or go

Wow. This was quite an unexpected pleasure! In a town that is geared for college kids and a relatively small population, I was told that this restaurant was the best in town. Now I don't doubt it. It has everything I enjoy, chef created food, interesting flavors, small number of seats, wonderful server and an owner that cares deeply about ingredients, technique and sourcing. I asked to speak with the owner to thank her for delivering wonderful Indonesian cuisine. She was kind and caring. Her personality is get throughout all parts of the restaurant. I live two hours away and will soon make a trip specifically to dine at Boboko.

What a gem! Our waitress was so personable and a true expert on the menu. The spring rolls were super flavorful and homemade. My jackfruit dish and the chicken friend noodles were deeply seasoned and memorable. Remember to ask for the hot sauce on the side. Their sambal is very good. For desert we got the friend banana which reminded me of a funnel cake. 10/10.

Absolutely hands down one of the best restaurants in our area!!! Fresh! Cooked perfectly. A must go to for lunch or dinner. Marine, the chef/owner is a delight and quite passionate about quality. The service is excellent. Very nice atmosphere. I'm an area health coach and rarely approve restaurants but this one hits every tick!!! AMAZING! My friend, a French food scientist, treated me to lunch. I will be back!

Food and service here is amazing!! All the meats are so tender, and the vegetables are flavorful. Highly recommend eating here.

Wonderful to have a restaurant with plenty of vegetarian options. I had to say at least one nice thing because I do appreciate that. Not at all an Indonesias restaurant, though. Greasy, tasteless, even the sambal was entirely without character. I lived in Indonesia for years, as well as many other countries, and am so sorry to see the food misrepresented so grossly. Every dish tasted the same- like oil and Chinese five spice, not even a hint of actual Indonesian flavors. Real Indonesian food is truly the most delicious food on Earth!!! So sad. No reason to return. I will go for Chinese next time, at least it will taste good.
