Excellent food! Love the option of a half waffle because they are so filling! They could use a little makeover but it was clean and functional. Over all very happy with our breakfast! I had the classic chicken and waffles.

First time trying Capitol Waffle shop. If you like waffles, add this to your list. They have very creative waffles or you can go as simple as you would like. I had my first waffle with Eggs, bacon, and queso sauce on it. I liked it way more than I would have thought. As my grandpa would say “if you like eggs, waffles, bacon, and cheese. What could be bad?” My daughter had bananas, strawberries, fruity pebbles, and whipped cream. I enjoyed eating her leftovers. My son had the special with bananas, chocolate chips, marshmallows, and I believe peanut butter. I enjoyed his also. If you don’t like waffles I would discourage going. I ordered a taco that was great, strop waffle to go and a butter cake that was very good. I’ll be going back soon. Not many healthy options, than again waffles are not healthy. Staff was great, very friendly and cared. Got busier in a short amount of time I sprang there. Great downtown spot

Brought our grandchildren, from out of town, here for breakfast today. We were all adults ! Server was taking order from one table and told us to sit anywhere. Thought she’d come get our order when she was done, only one server & one cook. We waited about 45 min and she came & told us we had to scan the QR code to order, but in the meantime 2 parties came & sat at the bar & she took their order. Another 30-45 min we got drinks, water & sprite, but waited more for coffee & milk, we also ordered BM & mimosa, but those took over an hour. Our good came out in separate times, although we went to a great effort to order all together so we could eat together. Did not happen. Frankly had we not had to pay when we ordered we would have left. We were VERY disappointed & embarrassed by the whole experience since we had brought several other out of town guests before. Really on a Sunday morning there should be more emploees or not open .

Staff was super friendly and informative of all their options! It was my first time eating there and we had a blast chatting with staff and getting recommendations fora bomb brunch! 10/10 will visit again

Every bite I took, I kept saying, "omg, this is so good." We got a specialty mac n cheese option with queso, bacon, chorizo, fried onions, and doritos (sounds weird, but it was so good) and a mixed berry/egg/bacon waffle with a breakfast taco. The toppings were delicious on their own and chopped up into bite-sized pieces. Both were easy to eat with a fork despite being piled high with all the toppings! Super delicious. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area. We're from FL, so the next time we come up here, we're bringing family!!

This place is great! We are from out of state and wanted to try local type foods vs food chains and this place was AWESOME!!! They were under staffed, but it was also New Year’s Day so it is what it is and the lady making it happen did a phenomenal job! Her attitude was top notch, greeted everyone as they came in and handled it like a pro!

Food was worth it and we will definitely be back, service was worth it, and memories will last a lifetime!

The food is delicious - very flavorful and plentyful! They cater for parties and work events anywhere and set up. Affordable for large and small events. The staff is very eager to help whether eating in or catering. Catered lunch was a great choice of food. Lunch in the Harrisonburg store was the bomb! Will definitely be back!
