The best! We’ve been looking for a Chinese place for years and none compare. Portions and value are perfect. We’ll be back.

By far best Chinese food in Harrisonburg, nothing else comes close. They have maybe one or two tables so its not an eat in place, they're usually using the table for other things. It's not really a great place to sit and eat anyway. The staff has been consistently average, not very friendly but not rude in any way. The food quality surpasses any displeasure I have with the atmosphere.

My husband and I ordered dinner for pick up. When we arrived, our order wasn't ready, so my husband paid for our meal and we ran a quick errand before returning. Once we returned, I gave them the phone number the order was made under. The girl behind the counter stated she didn't have an order under that number; she never checked any existing orders that were sitting behind the counter. I quickly went out to verify the number with my husband who went back into the restaurant and explained that he never received his food(please note, this was the same girl he spoke to initially with regards to our order not more than ten minutes prior). The girl had a bit of an attitude, thinking we already picked up our meal. Finally, she took it upon herself to check the to-go orders sitting behind her and located our meal. I understand people make mistakes, however the girl running the counter didn't even take the time to try and locate our meal until my husband continued to press the issue. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

I ordered the beef and broccoli combination with lo mein instead of fried rice. It is delicious and they give very generous portions! I think this is my new favorite Chinese take out!

They have good food. The business is my favorite place to get Chinese takeout. They have a small eating area, I recommend taking the food home. I personally like to get the Garlic triple delight.Parking: The business is in a strip mall, meaning the parking lot is shared with other businesses.

Best Chinese food in town by a long shot. Anything I’ve ever gotten from here that’s fried has always been extremely fresh and crispy. My only complaint is that they close kind of early, but you shouldn’t eat Chinese food too late at night anyways or else you might get nightmares. Don’t forget to get a couple extra eggrolls or maybe an order of crab rangoons. Just don’t eat them after midnight!

This is definitely a take out joint. I had the combo lomein and the hot & sour soup. Both were good and I would get them again but the Triple Garlic Delight was my favorite. There was plenty of it at a decent price. I recommend this place if you are looking for good comfort Chinese food.

This is our go to take out spot - the food is always tasty and you get a decent bang for your Buck. The staff is always friendly and it is very efficient. It is perfect for what you would expect for Chinese take out!

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants to get carry out from. Plus they don’t use MSG, which is awesome.

China Star happened to be closed today (July 3), so I ordered from another/larger H'burg Chinese restaurant. We ordered our usual items -- Hot & Sour Soup, Singapore Chow Mei Fun and Moo Goo Gai Pan (Chicken). Our comparison found the quality of China Star to be equal or superior across all items. In particular, their soup is much thicker/stronger. China Star also provides more-for-the-money with add-on requests, e.g., adding snow peas to my Chow Mei Fun order. China Star is a small establishment with a big heart!
