Got food poisoning from El Charro last night lol. I’ve always heard other people from the area say they’ve gotten it, but I hadn’t ever had any problems so I kept going every once in a while. Last night I was at El Charro until about 9 PM, and was puking by midnight. I’ve then proceeded to get sick every hour after 12, until about 7 AM. I’m physically exhausted and dehydrated and could not be bribed to step foot back in El Charro again.
Update: 10 months later, revisiting this review to say this experience was genuinely so bad that I have yet to set food back in any el charro.

Authentic atmosphere. Fast, friendly and attentive service. The food is good, but not your side of the road taco truck authentic greatness. However, the chips and salsa are excellent --probably the best in the area. There is a wide selection to choose from and is definitely a great choice for lunch or dinner with friends or family.
This place has really gone downhill I will go to the other two I will never go to this one again. Been going to their restaurants since I was a child and I'm 35 now. As a long time customer it's really sad to see. Beware when you order stuff for takeout or to go because you won't get the same size as you would get if you ordered it for done in they are charging $4 for a ramekin size cheese dip where is it normally a bowl when you order it as a dine-in customer which is ridiculous and when we said something about it we got told well that's what they do now and said nothing when we said that's not what the other two do. Also if you get a gift card from the one in Bridgewater this one does not accept it. Which tells me this one is owned by different people than the other two and I will be giving my service and my money to the other two El charro's in the area from this point on and I recommend other people do the same! Such a shame once a good place has gone downhill and don't care about literally scamming your customers out of money that get stuff to go versus eating in!!! I used to say that this was the only one that I would eat at now I'm saying complete opposite if that tells you anything!! The management and owners should really reconsider how they do business and treat their customers especially ones that have supported them throughout the decades!!! I will definitely be telling everyone I know to go to the other ones as well! Customer shouldn't be jipped just because you order stuff to go it should be the same quality and quantity as if you order while dining in especially since it's for the same price!!!!

I hate when I eat all the chips and salsa then can’t finish half of my meal. Rookie mistake. I’m working up to becoming a competitive eater and this will be the first place I come to tackle on everything on the menu. #haterskeephating
