Website and Google maps says open but doors were locked and “open” sign was not illuminated. Stopped at 11:30am Saturday

This place is great but literally 9/10 times I go, they are closed unexpectedly despite the website saying they're open . Today I went by at 12:30 for some lunch just to find out their closed with a "closed at 5" note taped to the door ... It wasnt 5pm yet so I'm just confused and hoping they open later .

I am traveling through and wanted a salad, I came across Greens and Grains, great website and they are open, set the GPS to direct me. Drive 40 minutes only to find out "closed at 5" how ridiculous. Maybe there was an emergency and it could be excusable, but all I know at this moment is that the doors are closed and locked with a sticky note. Pretty sad cause I was looking forward to it.

THIS PLACE IS EXCELLENT:
Soups worth writing home about.
So many delicious wraps, salads, bowls, and sandos, for everyone from vegans to meat eaters to gluten-free folks.
Management that truly cares about quality and customers.
Good prices.

On our trip down to Harrisonburg for a fall college tour, we were looking for a place that accommodate our family: myself, my vegan daughter, and her vegetarian mother. We looked up some options and decided on Greens & Grains Cafe. What a great choice. There were so many options for all of us - I had the chipotle pollo salad, my daughter had a vegan wrap, her mom opted for a make-your-own salad. And we each got a soup - all of which were AMAZING. The food was nourishing and tasty, the vibe was chill, and the owner accommodated all of our specific asks with a smile (Harrisonburg is billed as The Friendly City, and he really showed us why). Our tour and our day were a lot better because of our meal here. Whatever diet you're on, however you eat...this place is gold. Simple, and simply fantastic.

Vegetarian options: Lots of choices and they go out of their way to accommodate vegans and vegetarians.

My husband and I just ate at G & G Cafe for lunch. We both had the mushroom and brie soup, which was delicious! The owner gave us samples before we decided. I had the grilled turkey and my hubby had the ham and cheese. Again, both were delicious! We did the "take two" option, and there was plenty to eat. We will definitely choose this cafe when in the area. The owner was super friendly and informative 😊

Decent - not great - food at good price.
Tomato basil soup was very good. Same as other reviews report: everything is chopped so small with very little added to the greens it may as well be just lettuce.
And, the pic showing beers is 9 yrs old. They do not serve beer.
