great atmosphere and service, poor quality fried chicken, soggy and not crispy. Waffle fries were great and so is the bubble tea but you do have to pay extra to get the bubbles in it. :/Wheelchair accessibility: has handicap parking but no automatic door

I want to start this review with a thank you to the GM of this establishment. I have never visited before and I intended on trying the hottest spice level available on my wrap. However, the GM advised against that and let me try the hot level to see how that was and that the hottest rub was worse than that. Well after trying the hot I decided to stick with the medium spice level and I am grateful for his guidance and care. He told me he wanted me to enjoy my food/experience here and I did! The chicken was great. Crispy and flavorful. The fries were wonderful and the joes sauce is delectable. A great experience. I wanted to try the hottest spice level before I left. I wish I didn’t. If I could go back I would. I took the first bite of the piece of chicken lathered in the flaming hot rub. I did not know at the time I was making a grave mistake. I honestly thought it tasted great and went ahead and finished the whole piece of chicken. As I finished that piece of chicken my world turned upside down. I felt a level of spice that I would think as comparable to taking a hot coal and placing it in my mouth. The gm gave me a lemonade on the house to try to ease the pain however there was no hope for me. As my body was slowly getting taken over from the capsaicin I realized that if I had followed through with my plan of eating a meal of the hottest spiced chicken, I would most likely not be able to write this review. As I sit here on my porcelain throne while my body tries to rid itself of the molten lava I ingested earlier. I give major thanks to the GM, Hangry Joe, and the staff of this restaurant for making great chicken and caring for my health as much as they could. If you read the entire length of this review I hope it helps you. 10/10 will be back for spice levels less than hot.

We truly enjoyed this restaurant. We got the Loaded Fries and the Loaded Mac and cheese. The servings for one dish can easily serve two people. We ordered the chicken mild and it was just enough heat to enjoy it but not need lots of dairy. I would recommend this restaurant.

Great food. I'll keep it short and just say this is my first time here (I've been eyeing it for a while though). The food was so delicious. The meat on the chicken sandwich was huge and so fresh and hot. I got mild and it was perfect. Got the Mac and also fries. I have no complaints. I didn't wait more than 8 mins for my food, but let me tell you it was worth the wait. If you want good food that isn't all that other bland chain stuff in Hburg, try this place.
My wife and I wanted to try out the chicken here as a chill anniversary date with our 2 year old son.My wife specifically wanted rice on the side and the manager here asked his employees and they said it’s an hour wait for the rice.We told him we can wait for the rice since we're not in a rush wife’s pregnant and she wants rice and our 2 year old son only favors rice, we had a great conversation making jokes.My wife asked the manager would it be better to just wait because we want the food out at the same time we can order later once the rice is ready.He said he can make sure everything is out at the same time. So we agreed went ahead and ordered.Then the chicken came out after 15-20minutes without the rice.He said “we have your chicken ready to get it out of the way and let you know when the rice is out.We then proceed to wait another 10minutes.I decided to walk back up to the manager and was informed the rice was another 8 minute wait by this time the chicken was already getting cold.So I told the manager " we asked you if we can have it at the same time and we were willing to wait.Manager said “it’s chicken you can eat it without the rice”.With this response we asked for a refund.He then said "you didnt ask to wait for both chicken and rice to come out at the same time you can get a refund on the $5 rice but not the $40 chicken and it’s on recording we can both listen to it if you want".I said "sure let's listen to it".He comes out and said "here's your solution I talked with the owner you can get a refund for the rice only or we can call the police for trespassing..We decided to wait for our full refund.police Miller got both side of the story and agreed how uncool that was for the mananger not willing to give a full refund especially since we told him (we wanted it out the same time, my wife wanted rice and our son favors it) but there was nothing she can do.So now I have a trespassing order on me lol.He refused to give the full refund and only on the $5 rice so we decided to just leave it.another customer that was there the whole time offered to pay us for what happened but we denied and left the foodThis is ridiculous because we told him we can wait and instead all this happens horrible experience for no reason.

Taste was decent the bread couldn't hold up to the monster chicken on it they have the noodles wall there and said that they will be getting add on soon (proteins toppings etc) the wings were soggy not crunchy (which I perfer that)

Hangry Joe's hit the spot for hot chicken in Harrisonburg. The chicken is prepared dry-rub style, and if you like spicy, do yourself a favor and start with a medium here. I've probably already scorched most of the tastebuds I started out with in life and medium was still a memorable experience. The dipping sauce is your standard hot chicken sauce, good for dipping the waffle fries, sandwich, etc. The food was great, definitely a shareable portion. On a side note, the owners are pretty friendly.
