Hungry Farmer Cafe Reviews
St Patrick’s Day, first ever visit. Ordered an Egg n Cheese sandwich. When I got it, the bread was very greasy and the egg had black all over it. Sent it back and they said that they must not have cleaned off the grill. The re-make was “tossed” onto the table and unfortunately was no different than the first. One bite, disgusting, didn’t eat it and we left. Was my last visit for sure!
If you wouldn’t eat it… don’t serve it!
Good food, didn’t take long at all, and the young lady working the counter was super friendly and pleasant. The baked goods are super delicious!!!
Food is delicious! Recently ordered a club wrap and it was tasty. Sweet tea is just right. And the service was excellent. Everyone had a smile and they checked on our table several times to make sure we were satisfied. I would definitely recommend.

The Hungry Farmer Cafe is located in a farmer's market, offering a variety of delicious burgers, sandwiches, and pastries. This family-owned restaurant is known for its great food, including their friendship bread. The spacious parking lot includes spots for RV towing cars and is accessible for those with disabilities. The cafe is kid-friendly, with a toy store located in the same building. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the customer service is excellent.
The cafe is a great place to take a break from long road trips along I-81, with good, simple, freshly prepared food and fantastic gelato with tons of flavor. There are great food choices for kids, and plenty of opportunities for them to stretch their legs while looking around at other items in the Shenandoah Heritage Market, such as quilts, saddles, and a shoe-shine stand, plus a covered bridge and koi pond outside. The restrooms are clean, and the atmosphere is relaxing, with a super sweet staff.
The Hungry Farmer Cafe offers a variety of delicious options, including the BLT and the Farmer's Steak 'N Cheese, which are described as fresh and high quality. The only minor complaint is the lack of to-go cups for drinks, which have free refills.
The cafe is located in an eclectic market with Amish-made furniture, local cheeses, jams and canned goods, quilts, Western wear, and antiques, making it a worthwhile stop for both dining and browsing.
