I really enjoyed going here, great food and friendly service, but like many places stuff has changed. Prices are going up, while quantity and quality is going down. I ordered a Rueben and my wife the country BBQ. Both of our sandwiches were skimpy, minimal meat. My Rueben had extra sauerkraut and wife's BBQ had more Cole slaw than BBQ. Im not sure what happened to this place, but it isnt a positive change. Hopefully it was just a bad day, but if not, management needs to step up and keep it consistent. With all that being said, the food was still great and service top notch, but to pay $40 for what we got seems excessive.

We love coming here always greeted with a smile and honestly some of the best food I’ve had. We usually get the country bbq sandwich and it’s so amazing a little greasy but we like that! We have also had almost every thing on the menu and it’s always been amazing. Although it’s expensive I feel alright giving my money to them then to a fast food companies !

We stopped here for lunch on a road trip. The ambiance is very much like stepping into your grandmother's house. It was located inside of an indoor flea market type building. It was clean, albeit dated - but it added to the charm. Menu was simple and well priced. Staff was very friendly and helpful. No dedicated kids menu, but they do have options like hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken tenders. Food was very fresh and flavorful. Sandwiches came with a bag of route 11 chips. Overall I would definitely recommend eating here.

Was told we had a 40 minute wait for ordering food, which was okay. Was able to put our number on a table and go around to the shops. Returning was able to order had another 30-40 minute wait to get our food. The steak and cheese was very little meat, very greasy. My side order of onions rings was tiny and greasy. My husbands steak and cheese was the same, his basket of bacon cheese fries was more of a side order amount, also extremely greasy. We felt like it was over priced for the quantity and quality we got. We won’t be back to eat, will be back to shop, the shops.

Food was great. This was in a shopping center so not the easiest to pick up on the road. Felt the service could have been friendlier

A great place to take a break from long road trips along I-81 -- good, simple, freshly prepared food and fantastic gelato with tons of flavor (not just sweetened with cheap sugar like many places do!). Great food choices for kids, and plenty of opportunities for them to stretch their legs while looking around at other items in the Shenandoah Heritage Market (quilts, saddles, shoe-shine stand, plus a covered bridge and koi pond outside). Clean restrooms. Relaxing atmosphere and super sweet staff. Easy to get around to all of these things even for those who have trouble walking. We have been back many times over the years and will continue to do so!

We'd been driving all day and stopped at the Shenandoah Heritage Market to stretch our legs. We were also quite hungry and decided to eat at the Hungry Farmer Cafe, and wow, was it good! My husband was very pleased with his BLT and I really enjoyed the Farmer's Steak 'N Cheese. Everything tasted so fresh and high quality. We both got onion rings which were also very good. Our only complaint which is pretty minor is that they didn't have to-go cups for our drinks. Drinks (soda/tea) were served in plastic cups and it would've been nice to leave with a drink to enjoy in the car, as drinks had free refills.

Outstanding restaurant in a market setting. Highly recommend.

This is not typically a place I would go, but when a friend said he got the best burger he had ever had here, I figured I was driving right by it so let’s give it a try. Tell you what I don’t know if I’d say number one, but I would put it up pretty high on the list. It’s a cute place with a lot of interesting things to see. Amish-made furniture, local cheeses, jams and canned goods, quilts, Western wear and antiques! It’s a very eclectic market and worth the stop to browse and have a bite to eat. Vegetable market not open yet, but I’ll bet it’s worth a stop too. I will be back.

Waited 30 mins for one of the worst burgers I've ever had. Dry, huge weird lettuce, no condiments, on a greasy bun. Served with plain potato chips 🤮🤢 Absolutely awful!
