Jack Brown's Beer & Burger Joint Harrisonburg

Burgers and fries delicious. Think I got a Jack burger and with all the sauce it was kind of messy but very good. Service was quick! Atmosphere perfect for a college town.

They do have good food but...
The portion sizes have become so small, I felt like I had ordered a small(I do mean SMALL) McDonald's cheeseburger, and the quality seems to have also changed for the worst This place went downhill- which sucks, because they used to have really big thick juicy burgers & overall my impression of it was terrible. It was such a disappointment to see what they have become that we won't EVER be going back. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The burger was very good I have no issues with the quality, or deliciousness of the burger. My issue is my wife and I both ordered the Greg Brady. Burger with Mac N Cheese and BBQ potato chips on the burger. Burger price 10.99 for the whole meal. We both asked for the Mac on the side, and I upgraded the chips to french fries ($4 - fine). We both received the Mac in a very small container about a 1/3 cup. On our final bill the burger was discounted to $8.49, but each of us were charged $3.99 for the Mac N Cheese for a total of $8. When I asked the server he very politely and professionally answered the reason is because when served separately it's a larger portion than on the burger. That would be acceptable if the customer is told up front you will be charged separately for a side order, because even though the menu indicates it's included on the burger - it's more of you ask for it off the burger. Make no mistake we are NOT AT ALL TALKING a LARGE SIDE ORDER It's very small. Also my wifes burger did have 5 BBQ potato chips on it, which she was charged $2.50 for. The food is good. What needs improvement is telling the customer upfront about extra charges (though small) for what we thought was asking the toppings next to the burger - not on the burger itself.

Great spot for an outstanding burger and fries. We sat at the bar and the service was exceptional and the entire staff was attentive. They were extremely busy for lunch, however, you would never know as this was a well oiled machine and everyone was doing their part. The Cobra Kai was outstanding and I highly recommend.

The atmosphere is definitely unique and warming. The food proportions were a bit small but extremely delicious. I had the Elvis with cheese fries (additional $6) and a scrumptious watermelon margarita. We also finished our meal with fried Oreo (10 out of 10).

I'm not much on craft beers and don't fit in with all the college kids downtown. But the burger I had here was outstanding. So Good food, Good service.. Good vibe. Often crowded while students are in town but the food is worth a wait.

The burgers are unreal good. The Tuesday special was the “Ron Swanson” and it was so good. Also had the classic Jack and it was really good as well. Everything was great even the deep ridge crinkle cut fries was on point.

Tried this while in town and Burgers were absolutely delicious!!!! I was a Lil thrown off when they didn't offer lettuce or tomato on burgers. I would definitely eat there when bck in town.
