Cool little hole in the wall bar. Similar experience as the burger joint, and service was pretty good overall. Neat little spot, and lively atmosphere fit the bill for an interesting Saturday night from out of town
Classic speakeasy. Nice decor and good cocktail game. You can order decent bar food from their sister restaurants downstairs. I haven't been there too many times, but it seems that it doesn't attract too many college students. Maybe the townies managed to keep it a secret?

A friend found this place on a whim. Didn't know what to expect. Loved it! Relaxing eclectic atmosphere. Bartender concocted a wonderful drink for me when I didn't know what I wanted. Can't wait to experience it again.

Gabe was a jerk. Super prideful and full of himself. Good drinks and vibes, just feel like the place could get elevated with better bartenders. Gabe especially needs to step it up.

I’ve been to this establishment many times, but I won’t be back after last night. Our party of six was abruptly asked to leave after the bartender said a woman in our party was giving a “lap dance”. (She was sitting on her boyfriend’s lap and would’ve absolutely moved immediately if we knew the bartender was uncomfortable.) I apologized right away, but he just said we had to leave. It was embarrassing for us and a huge overreaction on his part. I can’t help but wonder how this would’ve been handled if all in our party were Caucasian. We had three men of color with us and they were the only minorities in the bar. It was a horrible experience.

Had a phenomenal first experience here and will definitely be returning. Had a wonderful conversation with one of the bartenders, Gabe, and was more than happy with the quality of cocktails. It's a refreshing break from the general college town bar that is the usual for Harrisonburg.
Great place to just chill. Loved all the decor. Drinks were literal perfection.
When the resort lodge was closed for the night where we were staying, we headed into Harrisonburg for the evening. Found Jack's Hideaway on a Google review. This is a small venue, more suited for a chill drink with a friend and we loved the funky antiquish decor. Catherine was a great bartender. The sticky shrimp was served in a Chinese takeout box, and it was delish.
Been twice on two different trips and we loved it both times. Casual with friendly bartenders and gun food.
