This was some of the worst barbecue I’ve ever had. I heard this place was good so I went ahead and tried it out. I got the brisket, Mac and cheese, and Brussels sprouts. The mac and cheese was decent and the sprouts were pretty good but the brisket was the worse part of my meal. First off it was a fatty piece of meat and didn’t get much meat at all to begin with. The brisket itself was really dry and had absolutely no flavor so I had to use the differnet sauces to make it taste better. The service and everything else was good but the food is my biggest complaint.

Server, Riley, hardly served us. Not attentive at all. Pulled pork sandwich was lukewarm and tasteless. At least the hush puppies were good.

In town on business. Decided to give this place a try. Decent barbecue-the meat tasted good by itself and there was a good selection of barbecue sauces. Place seemed to have a wide variety of beer, wine, and cocktail options. Perfect place for a gameday hang.

My granddaughter and I were having grandma day in Harrisonburg. We ordered burgers fries. Brussel Sprouts Fried Pickles and Fried Tomatoes. The Brussel sprouts live up to their hype. A bit of crunch and most delicious. The tomatoes were done perfect. crispy on the outside- juicy on the inside as were the pickles.
My granddaughter received the Wrong order yet the manager made it right. He offered a free dessert on the house and my granddaughter recieved the right burger and fresh made French fries. The service, ambience and food here was amazing!

I have no negatives to say about this place. Ordered the Jimmy's burger cooked perfectly, medium as requested, chicken tenders were juicy, cooked just right and had a great breading. Sat at the bar watching Capitals hockey as Abigail the bartender without hesitation turned it on per my request. She was attentive and personable. Had the Garden Frost Mule, Whiskey sour, Sazerac and Wi terberry Martini. All were made well. Love the blues music playing and for a Wednesday night it wasn't crowded. Great place, the outside impression sets you up to be wowed as you walk through the doors.

Went at 5:00 on 12/28 and was seated immediately by friendly host. We’re traveling from Tennessee to New Jersey and needed a half way restaurant for dinner. I picked this place solely on the fact that they had fried green tomatoes on the menu. I ordered those, and the crab dip, and my husband had the brisket and pulled pork platter. We had the apple blondie for dessert as recommended by our wonderful server. My husband is a “brisket” guy and said it was the best he’s ever had! Everything was outstanding. I also appreciated that the manager was circulating and came to our table. Fabulous experience all around.
Jimmy Madison’s is good southern bbq with a unique rustic atmosphere. The food is good and filling.
