The Harrisonburg Kroger is small and dirty. Please build a new store somewhere on the west side of town. Other locations have much nicer stores.
We moved to Martinsburg WV a few years ago and miss shopping at Kroger so we now travel a hour and a half to Harrisonburg Va to shop at Kroger’s a few times a month.
Horrible service! Rude, disinterested and inept. After several decades I will never put foot into that store again.
So I recently went to this Kroger store (where I ALWAYS grocery shop) and I have to say, if you don’t need to shop here, I wouldn’t. I was going to get some milk in the dairy department when I felt something wet splash on to my foot (I was wearing sandals). I looked down and saw a pool of beef blood on the floor and on my skin. The manager Jim Cox apologized, but also informed me that “spills happen” and that it “must have leaked from a customers package”. He also told me nothing he could say was going to make me happy. Please notice I never said he offered anything to help me disinfect myself because I was never offered anything. I understand that “spills happen”, but it’s a bit more disgusting and unhygienic when it’s something’s bodily fluid. Needless to say, I won’t be shopping at this Kroger again.
I like the store but on the 26 O went to pay my light bill the girl told me that no was that could help me the sigh said close at 9pm it 7pm
When I lived in Charlottesville, I absolutely loved Kroger’s. They had a great Clearance section, the store was arranged nicely, and products were available at all times. I even hear they have a Salad Bar now (which is the only reason I prefer the Harrisonburg Martins over Kroger’s). Every time I go to Kroger’s in Harrisonburg, I am disappointed in the lack of anticipating supply and demand. Several items that are not on sale were not available l. Then, they had a great sale on Cantaloupe, grapes, Deer Park water—-part of their attempts to get you to download the Kroger app—and they did not have a single item available. I drove 30 minutes to Kroger and of the 7 items I came in here for, they had 2.

It is a good super market, but it does not sell gasoline. In order to use the fuel discount points, usually worth $1.00 per gallon, I have to drive 30 miles each way to the Kroger in Staunton, VA. The Harrisonburg Kroger should sell gasoline; then I would give it 5 stars.
I placed a cake order on November 17, 2017, I called on December 7, 2017 to see if the cake had been done and not forgotten about. I was told the cake was DONE and that I could pick it up the next day. I received a phone call at 9:45 in the morning THE DAY I was supposed to pick up the cake stating they didn't have the kit I ordered! How are you going to tell me it's done and it NOT be done?! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO ANYBODY THAT WANTS SOME ACTUAL CUSTOMER SERVICE! The store manager was also rude as well stating that I was in the wrong and he didn't need my buisness!
The store is alright but sometimes are out of a lot of the things I'm looking for; store needs to be upgraded to the newer Krogers like the ones in Richmond and it needs to have the gas as well.

Wow really old salad and vegetables still on the shelf. Yuck. Decent beer selection but you have to buy six. Won't sell individually.
I love this Kroger! Everyone here is so nice and helpful. Best grocery store in Harrisonburg!
Very clean store! Staff clearly take pride in their store, friendly service can be found whenever needed.
