we've been steady bar patrons for years but the service/competence of kitchen staff has declined. last night they brought us five wings on a plate that should have had six. my burger came without the sauce it should have, and it made a trip all the way back to the kitchen since i questioned the empty bowl on my plate and was returned with a pretty snippy "it's all there" which it was NOT all there. the time before, the kitchen mistakenly put habanero relish on a burger that was not supposed to be spicy at all. each of these mistakes is met with an, "oh" response. they fix it, barely apologize, and do not make any gesture to smooth it over. the food tastes good, but the staff should be checking plates before serving them. even a child should be able to check that there are 6 wings on the plate before serving. it's crummy and they don't seem to care. it will be a long time before we return.

Very nice place to have a celebration! Bread, Scallops(AMAZING!!), Old fashioned, deconstructed lemon cheescake, berry & rhubarb crisp were amazing! Personally, would have liked to see more of a prime cut on the steaks for the entrees (I think most wouldn't mind paying the extra) Great overall!!

This was my boyfriend and I’s first time here, and I just want to say how absolutely amazing this place was! From our server Chris , to the Tomahawk special, to the wine. We had an excellent experience. Chris was so kind , and helpful. He gave some amazing suggestions! I would highly recommend! 142 before tip for the 32 Oz tomahawk special, with Mac & cheese , asparagus, and the red skin mashed potatoes with 2 glasses of wine. Amazing price, amazing food & service. Will definitely be returning thank you so much!

Located in downtown Harrisonburg Va.....yes, BF Harrisonburg VIRGINIA, not San Francisco, not New York City, definitely not a place with gravitas like Paris or France. Yet to go by how the guest is treated, you'd think they had something unique. It's a steak house with children as managers who evidently trip over a dollar to make a nickle. There were no lines, it was Monday night and I was visiting the town for a conference and wanted to walk into town for dinner away from my hotel. I made the reservation on OpenTable and showed EARLY and went into the bar for a drink. The waitress was nice and the bar staff were unhurried and patient at taking my order. While relaxing and placing a meal order, I received a message that my Open Table order was canceled....??? Did I mention I was early and I disclosed my intent to who turned out to be the manager and they agreed with my decision. I approach the manager and said he couldn't give me my points for open table reservation. I believe in stand up people who don't "bait and switch" the customer. The kid manager wouldn't change and I walked. Don't care what the food is like, I don't trust it if I can't trust the people. The drink was OK and I graciously paid the tab and left. I say the aggravation of the snooty attitude is not worth it and it can't be rewarded with patronage. Too many better places to go. We're only talking steak

Steaks and fillets are only 6oz and over $30. I went with the ribeye since it was 14oz. Unfortunately it was thin, overcooked, and half grizzle and fat. $41 for a less than average steak. Waitress never gave us steak knives so we used butter knives. The bread was good as well as the steak tartare. I should have went to a chain steak house.?

Had the most amazing time at the Local Chop and Grill House! Our server, Skylar, was so accommodating and caring! The steaks were cooked perfectly, the bread was fabulous, and the mac and cheese was to die for. Me and my partner were celebrating an anniversary and the manager heard of this and brought us a complementary celebratory toast! Phenomenal experience and HIGHLY reccomend for any special occasion!
In looking for a place to celebrate our mother's birthday, my brother came across Local Chop & Grill House. It certainly looked good. But we're we shocked.... it was even better. The service was top notch, drinks were amazing, and the food was incredible. Now if we only lived closer.... Thank you for providing us such a night!!!
