My bartenders Justin and Jess were absolutely unbelievable! Beer never empty! Food hot and amazing! I would highly recommend coming in on a Friday or Saturday night to watch some great sports and enjoy an electric environment.

Wasn't very busy on a Monday night. In town for a College tour for our son the following day, but our niece is a student at JMU, so we picked her up. Food was good, nothing amazing and lots, mean lots to choose from. Server was nice, but very slow and would disappear often. Cashing out we waited for over 15mins, then brought our check to the bartender. The atmosphere is very cool though. Little game area in the back. Cool statues and a big JMU Bulldog. Would like to check this place out on a Friday or Saturday night, sure its bumping.

Food is regularly missing major ingredients when I order through door dash. The Cobb salad was missing chicken, bacon, guacamole, and eggs. The cheesecake was missing all the toppings. This isn’t the Macados it used to be

Absolutely would never order from this restaurant again. We scheduled well in advance, months in fact for their catering service. Just sandwiches on a platter. This was for our daughters rehearsal dinner. They emailed, the night before the event to cancel our order for 45 people because it was JMU’s homecoming weekend. Not a phone call, nor an apology just an email. Luckily we saw the email. The night before an huge event, email is the last thing we would be checking, but luckily we did. Excuse me, homecoming was scheduled well in advance of our order. In fact, the wedding was for an JMU alumni, which is why we chose their restaurant in the first place. There is no excuse for canceling an order less than 24 hours ahead of an event and expect the customers to be able to find someone else in that short of time. The amount of unnecessary stress at this restaurant caused I can’t even explain. If you decide to use them do so at your own risk after reading this. Absolutely horrible,
As fairly frequent customers in their Winchester location, we won’t use them either the entire wedding party will not use Macadoos again, dear. I say none of our guest will use them again.

We were there after lunchtime and didn't appear to be busy; we were seated immediately. The service was extremely slow. It was probably 45 minutes from the time we ordered until we were served. And it was really cold in the restaurant; my husband is never cold and he had to put his jacket on. I've never had to eat indoors in a winter jacket until yesterday.
The food was just okay; the fries were barely warm.
The only bright spot was our server was very nice and checked on us often.

It was the coldest restaurant I have visited. It took 55 minutes to get my food from the time I was seated. The fries were just warm but the burger was good. It's Not the place I will go back to eat. For $45 I like to be comfortable.

My name is Ethan and glad to put my name on it , macadoos Harrisonburg Va use to be my absolute favorite restaurant in its time here i was a regular but after today i will never comeback . Poor mangement , I get low staffed but when you have 30 people waiting the least you can do it sit them in the more than half empty restaurant. Being told the kitchen can’t keep up is understandable but not sitting then after 35 mins is not . On top of that verry snabby host iv been stressed working the restaurant bussiness but never rude to a customer. I grabbed a menu for friend who was new so they could see what was offered and the host got mad I grabbed one after waiting 10mins with no one around, th least you can do is have paper menus in hands reach or in restaurant menus so I don’t have to go out of my way to find one . I hope this place shuts down

My family (party of 6) went to Macado’s today around 3:45 pm after moving our freshman into her dorm. We stood there for a good 6-7 minutes before anyone came and greeted us. Finally, a girl with a brownish ponytail and glasses came to the hostess area. She told us that it would be a 15 minute wait because she was the only person cleaning tables and seating people. She was very rude. I said ok and let her know that we had been there about 6-7 minutes already. Then she asked a Door Dash driver that was waiting what she wanted. The lady told her that she was there for a Door Dash pick up and she said “for who” in the most hateful manner. After she took care of her, she went back to cleaning tables. The tables had already been cleared and she was going from table to table sitting down, spraying them and wiping them. I watched her do about six tables and still never seated us. She eventually came back to the front where she took the name of another couple and gave them the same story about how she was the only one cleaning tables so there was a wait. There were very few people sitting down in the restaurant at this time mind you. The lady that had left with the Door Dash order had also came back inside with the order. Your employee looked at her and said “What?” She told her that the drinks were missing. She replied “Oh my God” and reached in the cooler to get the drinks that she had neglected to get to begin with. She again, was extremely rude. She didn’t acknowledge us and went back to cleaning tables. I am embarrassed to say that we waited about 30 minutes and she never sat us so we left. We watched about 15 other people come in and leave after no one ever came to take their names. We wouldn’t have waited that long but our daughter wanted to eat there. We went to another place that seated us right away, had friendly and fast service, and was giving freshmen a free dessert. It is disappointing that your place was so understaffed on move-in weekend and that the lady seating people obviously lacks people skills.
