Tonight was our first time eating at Magnolia's and we will definitely be going back! My kids and I had a blast. Quick seating, food was delicious, drinks were on point. & our waiter was AMAZING! Very cozy atmosphere.
The food is adequate but bland. It was my least favorite Mexican in Harrisonburg. The food is reasonably fresh and arrives at a good temperature. The drinks are watery and poorly balanced. The day time Saturday bartender is not well trained in the alcohols served there or the mixing of drinks. The bar menu lacks imagination and class.
Magnolias is a cool place but I have some issues with it. Firstly, pretty awful seating and it’s LOUD when it’s busy. Secondly, the food is bad. I know many people disagree, but other than the birria tacos and the carne asada cheese fries everything is barely edible. A restaurant is based around its food and frankly Magnolia’s food is weak.
