Doesn't close until 8pm on Friday at around 7:30 I went to the buffet to get some oven baked country ham.Out and want be putting no more out for tonight as long as open is on the door all foods should be on the buffet. The oysters were so salty and the shrimp was rubbery and no seasoning for 61.00 I will go to Woodgrill next time. Traditions use to be an Awesome place to eat..what happened?

I went to Traditions today for lunch. The food was great! nice and hot, always fresh food out! staff was amazing! Great place for kids to eat! my son even loved their food! his favorite was mac n cheese!

I ate lunch there today. It was very disappointing. Service was great but food was. Terrible. Has cook changed lately? Mac and cheese was tasteless, stewed tomatoes had no seasoning, oven fried va ham was coated with something that ruined taste. Chicken was good but very crispy. Overall, a big disappointment.

First time I go and the food is very good, definitely Caribbean flavor and very few restaurants with that quality!

We wanted some authentic Latino cuisine and found this place. We were disappointed when we arrived that we couldn’t dine in (take out only heads up) but when we got the food Lawd!! The food is amazing. Everything was fresh and delicious! Definitely give this place a try!!!

We visited here last year and had a delicious dish (fried fish) with sauce and rice. We came back to order it but they were out. We ordered mofongo instead and the flavor was good even if the seafood was a little overcooked.

Unfortunately, we still can't eat inside the restaurant (looks like it was shut down during Covid) and this makes it hard to want to eat here often.

was just there this past friday night for seafood buffet... less than desirable. the deep fried items had been cooked until the breading was hard & crunchy. the hushpuppies were hard & dry as a bone. again, cooked too long.the shrimp was like rubber. the shells were difficult to remove. not much seasoning. highly disappointed & most likely will not return. for the $87 or so i would skip & go to wood grill or mcdonalds.

We have always enjoyed Traditions Family Restaurant; however, this evening was a whole different story. We went for the seafood buffet. I love their shrimp, but it was terrible this evening. It tasted old and over cooked...and they were cold. I went back for seconds, as it looked like they put fresh shrimp out, but they tasted the same. I told our server that the shrimp was not good and she asked what was wrong with them. She thanked me for letting her know and she brought me fresh shrimp straight from the steamer. They were hot, but were still overcooked and no where close to what I've always eaten there before. Of all the years this Restaurant has been in business, we have never had such poor quality food! And everything was all but cold. It was honestly bad enough that I don't know if we will ever go back. I don't know about everything on the bar, but I was also told that they keep and reheat leftovers from the week before. So my question to that would be, was these shrimp kept in the fridge for a week or did they refreeze them? Just plain nasty! Yes, I am positive the shrimp I ate was leftovers.

If you want EXCELLENT food & FANTASTIC service get yourself out to Traditions Restaurant in Harrisonburg ! Enjoying a FABULOUS seafood dinner this evening !!

they catered an event at my college. food was incredible.
the chicken was so moist and flavorful it fell off the bone, the green beans were immaculate.
