I order often from here I love their sushi I think it’s the best in town compared to the other places and I usually come for the lunch specials they never disappoint the fried rice is always on point it’s fresh and very good!!!

This is a take out sushi place. If you're getting sushi to go you'll prolly really enjoy it. Unfortunately I got teriyaki tofu to eat in the restaurant. The tables were sticky. Everything was served in plastic or on Styrofoam. I cannot remember the last time I sat in a restaurant to have my food served to me on a Styrofoam plate. I've been eating tofu weekly for 5 years now. I've never eaten tofu that was that similar to jello in its consistency. And most of the food served to me had prolly seen a microwave. My wife loved her sushi and plans to order that again.

SEE UPDATE ORGINAL: My chicken yakitori bento box delivered in a plastic box where the lid had melted onto my food. UPDATE: I called Mr Sato’s and, despite it being a DoorDash order, they offered to deliver a replacement themselves immediately. Great customer service for an unfortunate mistake.

Love themmm. Their sushi is great and there’s a lot of good food in the menu. The girls taking your orders are always super nice and make you feel welcomed. The tables could use a bit more cleaning, they’re kind of always sticky. If you live or visit Harrisonburg you should totally check them out.

The food was really good and service was friendly and quick. The spicy tuna sushi was awesome. We also got bento boxes that were all fresh and delicious. We will definitely go back.
We are regulars at this place and today there was someone different at the front taking orders I ordered our usual beef and shrimp teriyaki I always ask for the meat well done and it always is perfectly cook all the way …..when I asked for well done the girl who took the order said it is already well done as in she didn’t need to make it well done I said um ok I guess I just really want it well done ….. obviously not to my surprise beef was no where near well done .. little to say we will never EVER return to this place!!! Why buy food at a place who gives you what they want not what you ask for / pay for ( yes I called and let them know and the girl just tried to debate and justify herself of course took no accountability)

This place is amazing! Mr. Sato was one of the first restaurants I ordered door dash from when I move to Harrisonburg back in 2020. I'm surprised I never made a review about it, so here is one now. Delicious food for a competitive price. The portions aren't massive, but neither are the prices. I personally order the salmon or spicy tuna Sato burritos whenever I'm in here (they are quite large and filling), but I've had many different things on their menu. Definitely check them out if you like sushi!
