This is a great restaurant. Great atmosphere, great view, great food, amazing drinks and very relaxing. Visiting from a large city I was hoping to find a place like this to have some down time. I had the poke, which was phenomenal, and their long islands are top top notch.
Patio seating is wonderful, I enjoyed some quit time in a very comfortable plush patio chair. For a busy, single mom this was a just phenomenal break. The jazz music is quiet and creates a great environment as well. Well done Ridge Room.
Will definitely come back while in town.

Overpriced appetizers they call Tapas. Only thing going is the view and that is in the distance. The local vicinity is parking lots, freeways, and big chain stores.

We stopped at the hotel for an overnight stay. Originally planned to get takeout and eat it in one of the common areas (or even our room). However, the front desk told us about this rooftop bar with shareable plates and we figured - why not! The service was great. The vibe was chill. The views and food sensational. An unexpected spot with fresh food and original plates and a carefully curated wine/booze list to boot. You can tell locals come here on the regular - not just hotel guests!

Nice view and ambience but the is about it. They have a very limited menu for food, The fish tacos were as bland as eating paper. My daughter and her roommate were disappointed in them. I had the charcuterie tray and it was just ok. Wish they had more options. Lots of potential, they just need a better chef.

Traveling through Harrisonburg & found this gem. We sat outside on the terrace & it was lovely. We met our server Madeline who turned out to be amazing & made our dining experience extra special. We started with the deviled eggs & then I had the crab cakes & my husband had the Jambalaya. We loved both. Definitely recommend.

On our recent vacation, we spent 3 nights dining at Ridge Room. Each night was amazing. The staff, food and view were excellent. Highly recommend.
We sadly did not get to eat any food. The menu was drastically different from the website. So the food our kids could eat was not available. We were so excited to dine but there was nothing for the kids and no salads for me. We had to leave.
BUT our waitress was great, Danielle. She was kind and conversational. Plus she was a Scientist and so am I. We got along great. Wish we were able to eat there.
Great view, very progressive, and comfortable.

This was our 2nd experience at the Ridge Room and unfortunately it was not a pleasant one for my husband and I. The food was delicious but the service and atmosphere were disappointing. We were seated before 3 other couples yet they were served drinks and appetizers before we were served. [We were the only people of color, so I'm thinking we were not supposed to be there]. Anyway, the manager stopped by to apologize and to make things right, but again, the waitress, Rebecca, was rude as she slammed my drink order on the table. At point we declined to order our main courses and left. Needless to say we will not be eating there again.

Food was overpriced & underwhelming. It reminded us of microwave food with a high price tag. Wine was okay. Place was nice & the service was great
We drove out to visit my son in Harrisonburg and took him to dinner at the Ridge Room. It is known for the view and didn't disappoint. Harrisonburg doesn't have a tremendous number of quality restaurants with an upscale ambiance and menu. I don't often say this but the Ridge Room is really a hidden gem. The food was very good (although the menu is a little limited). They have a nice bar area, and an excellent cocktail and wine menu. But the restaurant seating area and the big surround windows are the appeal, with the view of the surrounding Harrisonburg region and the Shenandoah mountains. Even some outfoor seating. Never knew this place was here before but would definitely return.

Amazing foodie experience. A real surprise for a restaurant in a hotel. Impressively composed small plate offerings and very good wine from a local vineyard. Awesome all the way around.
Nice atmosphere but food was disappointing and overpriced. I would recommend for a drink and appetizer but not an evening out.
We had a wonderful sassy waitress that was pleasant and professional. The food was great as usual and because it was not overly crowded we had a chance to talk in normal voices. Love this place!
Loved the experience of eating here! Everyone was so kind and helpful, and the view was just stunning! The food and drinks were amazing as well. We are looking forward to coming back very soon!

Such terrible food and very limited, not many options. I was disappointed this time around. I ordered broccoli and cheese soup, which was the seasonal soup, chicken kebab and a baguette with honey butter. I literally only ate the baguette with butter. I keep coming back to give it a chance, but I’m sorry I don’t see what everyone raves about. It’s poor tasting cuisine… I can deliver quality taste with the same menu, Keep it simple, It’s overly seasoned and off texture. Please reconsider your broccoli and cheese soup and do not purée it. I’m looking for a good ol’ hearty soup, not a soup on the go from Campbell’s. For the love of baby Jesus.
