Hands down the best BBQ. Met the owner while painting bridges and brought many coworkers to try his bbq. I’ve got coworkers from Greece, Syria, South America. Europe, and pure country boys… we all agree … the best.
If I know I’m within 2 hours… I make the trip. I’m waiting right now for the site to say open I am currently in Staunton checking back daily 😛

Stopped here on our way home from vacation and his food did not disappoint! We got the brisket and pork sandwiches and they were absolutely amazing! Full of flavor and loved the sauce! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a good smoked bbq.

Best barbecue in town!My go to is the barbecue sandwich with two sides until today- Got to try the ribs! Wow, amazing flavor and the spicy sauce is flavorful and adds a nice little kick.Jody runs a food truck, not a restaurant, which is hard to post hours and availability when he sells out almost every time. Good luck finding the unicorn of barbecue ;)

Let me just start off with saying I don't like giving bad reviews. Being a business owner myself I know people can be petty. But there is no excuse for this kind of service.I had spoken and booked Jody months in advanced to come to my family's campground memorial day weekend. We had marketed it, and had many people and locals coming to do horseback rides, camp and locals off the road that just wanted to eat good bbq. He had come prior and said location and travel would be no problem. We are a campground afterall, and have many 40ft big rigs come and have never had issues with roads. He texts us 2 weeks before he's expected to come saying he doesn't think he can make it up the road and that he supposedly spoke to an officer that said he would be ticketed for traveling up our road. Well, this was news to us as we are a campground hosting hundreds of RVers. We spoke to the Shenandoah County Officers and they said, they said no such thing, and actually laughed at it. Saying they wouldn't ticket anyone for such reasons. We called and left him messages saying we had spoken to an officer but he never responded. Cancelling 2 weeks before a major holiday is completely unacceptable and just plain bad business. If you didn't want to do it fine. No need for elaborate lies. At least give us enough notice to find someone else!

Smokin Q is awesome! They provided dinner for 2 nights of JMU Sigma Nu 2024 grad parties this weekend without breaking a sweat! Food was delicious and Jody and his crew a delight serving over 200 meals to parents and hungry college students! Thanks Jody from all the Sig Nu 2024 grad parents for making this easy and delicious!!

My family and I are from DC and we traveled into Harrisonburg for a weekend get away! We drive by Smokin’Q food truck once and decided we would check it out before we went back home and I’m glad we did! The food was tasty and you can’t beat the price. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because the sandwich bread could have been warmer and toasted. I would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Food truck BBQ. Great food, easy menu, good customer service, fair prices. The quality of the meat is immediately noticeable. We were the only ones there at first, so it was fast. Big parking lot. Definitely worth the stop.
