Sweet Joy's Cakes and Desserts

I ordered two birthday cakes from Sweet Joy's for my wife's big 40th birthday party and the cakes were exceptionally beautiful AND incredibly delicious! All of our guests were asking us where we got the cakes.

Michelle, the owner, was so helpful from start to finish. And to top it all off, everything was very reasonably priced. If you need a cake for any occasion, this is the place to go!!

Joy made a 3 layer wedding cake for my daughter's wedding this weekend. It was AMAZING in looks and in flavor. It is moist and delicious -- even the leftovers 2 days later are fabulous. Joy and Michelle were easy and delightful to plan with. The delivery to the venue was right on time and very calm. I am very impressed with the product and the service, and I will order from them again!

Have purchased several cakes from Sweet Joys all cakes were homemade and cooked to perfection delicious and moist.

Delicious cakes, cupcakes, and covered strawberries from a wonderful, local family business. Always the best and perfect for any occasion. 5 stars isn't enough. The only downside is how hard it is to save some for tomorrow! A++++++.

When I left cake for my wedding a little last minute (1 month prior to the date), I put in an order, cake untasted! A few friends recommended Sweet Joys and I am SO glad they did. My wedding cake was better than I could have ever imagined. We got a 3-tier buttercream frosted cake with flower decor: Sweet Joys reached out within a day of putting in the order to ensure they had the details right and to get the color scheme for the wedding. Our first tier was lemon with lemon curd filling, second tier almond cake with raspberry filling and third was honey cake with strawberry filling. My husband could not choose a favorite tier! We each had a slice from all three. My favorite ended up being the almond, but it was very difficult to choose. The cake was the most perfect density, texture, and flavor. It was not dry at all. Our guests went back for second slices too. I could not recommend Sweet Joys more highly. The cake was beautifully frosted and the flower decor matched our colors perfectly. I’m glad there was enough leftovers so I can finish off the cake for a few more days. Thank you for knocking my wedding cake out of the park!

We ordered 2 cakes from Sweet Joys for my son's 1st birthday. I had heard good things about them, but was at first reluctant because sometimes cakes that look so good, don't taste as good. Boy, was I wrong!! These were some of the best tasting cakes I have ever had in my life. They were just as good on the inside as the outside. I may just need to order a birthday cake every month. Sweet joys was easy to work with and willing to work with you for whatever you need. I will for sure use them again in the future.

We ordered a cake from Sweet Joy’s Cakes for a very special family celebration — my dad’s 90th and my aunt’s 85th — gathering everyone in Harrisonburg from out of town. I gave Joy very little direction other than “make it colorful, they love chocolate, and our family’s favorite card game is Rook.” She absolutely nailed it!

The cake was stunning — beautifully designed with thoughtful details — and even better, it tasted incredible. Rich chocolate cake with chocolate icing and a whipped cream center — it was a hit with the whole family. The real proof? Empty plates all around. Thank you, Joy, for making our milestone celebration even sweeter!

Best coconut cake I have ever had.

I've ordered several cakes from Sweet Joy's over the years. Recently I ordered 3. They were all Top Notch! Sweet Joy's is not about making money on your order, more important is customer satisfaction on presentation and taste. The Birthday Smash Cake was a real winner! Thank you.

Delicious cake but delivered an hour late, limited communication leading up delivery date, and they forgot the topper which was a part of my purchase so that was a little disappointing.
