If you’re looking for a proverbial hole-in-the-wall that surprises with delicious food, this is your place. Almost everything is made from scratch and it caters to omnivores, vegetarians, and vegans in an understated, nonchalant way. I had The Dooley and loved it. Don’t know what that is? You’ll have to drop by and try it, won’t you!

It is somewhat redolent of the old Bluegrass Grill in Charlottesville. The corned beef is delicious and The groovy gravy on a biscuit is, too. Delicious coffee as well.

This has been my favorite restaurant in Harrisonburg since I was introduced to it many years ago. Closed for a while during Covid and recently reopened under new, competent management with many of the old favorites on the menu. We live out of the area but just stopped there yesterday on my way through town for the first time since reopening, and it did not disappoint. I ordered Lambert's Platter, an old favorite; my husband had the falafel burger. Prices are reasonable, staff is friendly, service is good, food is delicious and healthful. Just like old times. Highly recommended.Vegetarian options: Many veg choices on menu and will adapt non veg items to veg by substituting. We are vegan, and had lots to choose from

Best overall breakfast experience I have had in Downtown Harrisonburg.Ordered the burrito, pancakes, and a western omelet to share. Burrito was very good and had a good balance of rice, meat, and tortilla. The omelet did not stand out, needed seasoning and tasted strongly of the vegetables (peppers/onions). Still very enjoyable. Cinnamon swirl pancakes with candied pecans were delicious! All food was brought out within 10 minutes of ordering. All staff were friendly and had good attitudes. Dining area is small but there is sufficient privacy in the booths. The value is very fair.

Good food and good service. They offer some classics and some with unique twists. It is a relatively small cozy restaurant.
Maaaaaan, I shoulda took a picture of my pancakes. Those things there phenomenal. Better than crackle barrel pancakes. Got a booth next to a shelf with a bunch of old pictures books and a dinosaur puzzle box. I touched everything with my sticky pancake fingers. My home gurl says the mushroom Philly sandwich was real good.Would go again

Came here as a recommendation from a coworker and it was a great choice! I had the Reuben and the veggie chili. Both are amazing and I think I've found a favorite combo to grab next time! Fun atmosphere and a well put together menu with plenty of great options.
