If you were wondering where to get AMAZING home cooked country delicious food. You found it. Look no farther. I just got my first plate from then and hands the best yams I’ve ever had. Think sweet and savory thick cut. So good! The meatloaf was sweet but not too sweet. 10/10 would TOTALLY recommend!!!

Stopped in to get gas; found amazing soul food and even better service. Yam’S Country Kitchen is an amazing hole in the wall restaurant with friendly staff. I had no idea what to get because of their large menu, but I left with a plate of delicious catfish nuggets, mac and cheese, and deviled eggs. Catfish nuggets were crispy and paired perfectly with tartar sauce and the mac and cheese was the best I’ve had from any Harrisonburg restaurant. The staff was willing to make off—menu items upon request but I found their offerings to be perfect. Everyone deserves to try the best and only soul food restaurant in Harrisonburg. I can’t wait to see this restaurant grow. ALL THE FOOD WAS MADE FRESH UPON ORDER!!!! My girlfriend agrees: Best $7 burger in town.

Stop at the Liberty gas station for wine. I was hungry low & behold. This hidden little flavorful, savory & appetizing spot. Mac & Cheese is delectable & comforting. Catfish nuggets are made to satisfy every taste bud on your tongue. Wish they had seating, lol. See you all soon.

The oxtail, mac & cheese, and french fries were incredible. The owners are super kind and take great care of you. It's easy to overlook this place given it's location, but it's definitely a hidden gem. Be sure to give this place a try!

So hard to find a good country food place but this is definitely one of those gems. Everything was delicious, not one complaint. And the owners were just a delight to speak with. Whenever my family is town, I definitely got to try this place again.
