The Hillsville Diner is a town treasure and has been a much loved eating establishment for several decades. I got a bacon cheeseburger and French fries this trip. The hand-patted burger was cooked just right and was juicy and flavorful. The generous serving of golden French fries were delicious. The atmosphere is friendly and casual. They have many plate lunch options with a variety of sides along with sandwiches, burgers and hot dogs. They have phenomenal country breakfast until 10, too.

We had the Philly cheesesteak and Kelly’s chicken ranch burrito (wrap), both were delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The history of the diner was very cool. So glad we stopped. We will be back when we are in the area.

My wife and I loved this place when we visited two years ago. On our most recent visit the waitress got my wife's order wrong, my food was burnt on the bottom, and the cup I was drinking from was dirty (solid black specks throughout). I hate that this was our experience. Slow down, take your time, and get the basics right.
Great dinner for breakfast. The server was very friendly with great service. My plate was excellent and very tasty.
