Everything gets fried in the same old funky oil and has the same old funky oil taste. My son saw an ad for Captain D's on tv, and decided he wanted to go there for his birthday. He's 9 and hasn't had much seafood, so it sounded fun. Luckily, I'm allergic to shellfish and got a grilled meal. Mine was fine, but I don't think anybody gets the grilled meals from Captain D's unless they have to.

The absolutely wonderful cashier went above and beyond to show me that my order was accurate. He also made sure I had everything I need when he learned that I was taking it back to a hotel. He was absolutely amazing. The food didn't take that long either. The kitchen people nicely made adjustments when I asked. Awesome place.

1st time here. Guy at the drive thru was a little off, didn't seem to happy about being there, but hey I get it, had to repeat my order several times. Once we got pass that, everything was good. Food was hot, fresh, all of my condiments were inside my bag and they even gave me a fork :) lol it's the little things sometimes. Reminded me of Long John Silver's. I got the fish and shrimp combo w/ fries and coleslaw.

I hit the drive thru here today/this evening . It was an average wait time for my food (3 piece fish ) 5-8 minutes I also ordered 5 add on shrimp. First time to this location, and I must say, I won’t be going back to the laburnum and Williamsburg rd location. This store has superior service and quality compared to the latter.. I don’t know anybody here and just writing my review based on the fact that I was impressed. The girl in the drive thru was friendly and kind with a smile.. So hopewell Capt Ds keep up the great work. Your superb quality and service shine through..not often that everything is just as ordered and all condiments in the bag as asked for.. Thanks.. JJ

If you are hungry and in the mood for seafood, this is the place to go. It is buffet style and you can eat until you are about to burst.
They had plenty of alternatives, but we mainly stuck with the seafood, especially the snow crab clusters.
The evening before, we ate at a local restaurant that ran us about $70 each. It was a nice meal, but nothing special. The $45 each at Captain D's was so well worth it. Not much in ambience, but the mountain of snow crab legs that we demolished, didn't give us much time to notice.
Definitely worth stopping here for dinner, but not more than once in a week (calories and cholesterol lol).
Kid-friendliness: A little pricey unless your kid eats a lot.
