I'm from Texas (San Antonio).I had their Caldo de Res and a gordita. They were very good. My grandson's girlfriend had menudo. It had a good flavor but no hominy.My mom told me that some restaurants don't put hominy. I would order it next to I visit my son.BTW they have Mexican Pepsi and Coke in glass bottles. Those are the best!!

El Gordo (the restaurant attached to La Bodega) is such a good little spot. Plenty of menu options to choose from so there’s something for everyone! Beer selection is wonderful, they’ve got imports as well as domestic beers and seltzers. The soda selection is also incredible- even got a banana flavored soda!My partner got the chicken gorditas, and I got the hamberguesa; both came out relatively quickly (10-15min.)
