“My daughter, son in law, and I had the opportunity to eat here today. We pulled in and within a few minutes had the nicest car hop come out to our car. I didn’t get her name but she was so polite and friendly. My son in law and I got the 4 piece fried chicken dinner. It came with fries, coleslaw and 2 rolls. The chicken was delicious. Crispy and moist but most of all fresh! The coleslaw is super good. My daughter got a cheeseburger and she ranked it right up there with a steakhouse burger. We will definitely be back if our future travels lead us close.”

“Oh my gosh!! The food is delicious!! We stayed at the River Place Cabins and ate there 3 times. The grilled chicken salad with peach vinaigrette, delicious. We had breakfast one morning that was awesome. They are not stingy with the servings. Me and husband could’ve split.”

“We don’t eat out much, but when we do we find ourselves driving over an hour to visit River Place (normally on a Friday for the fish fry). It’s worth it every time. Great atmosphere, delicious food, and a very laid back vibe! So glad I stumbled upon this place while out cycling a few years back👍👍”

“This place is absolutely AMAZING! Honestly one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve ever had. I’m from Texas and lived in the area for about two years, and I used to get their food all the time. Their hot and sour soup is insanely good 🤤 and the portions are always generous. I moved back to Texas a year ago and still haven’t found a Chinese spot that hits the same. I’ll be back in town for the holidays and I cannot WAIT to eat here again. 🍲”

“First time visitors in Pennington Gap. We stopped and ate at Rooster’s Pub for dinner. We both had the hamburger and seasoned fries and as an appetizer we selected the fried mushrooms. Everything was excellent! Hamburger was juicy, fries were cooked and seasoned just right. Service was excellent as well. Highly recommend if you are ever in this area.”

Parking: They could have more spots to park and a wider space

Kid-friendliness: They are super nice and are always there to help you out but the only down fall is you have to wait for a while on your food witch I understand you get busy but if it's ready don't let it sit so long to get cold”
