Restaurant is now closed and the motel has turned into let's say apartment rentals

I will be VERY honest here! If it were me, I would be VERY concerned about staying here! First, with the mention of bed bugs, I wouldn't WALK into the lobby much less spend the night in a room! If there are bed bugs, there's no telling what else is in those rooms! And they have the nerve to charge up to $450 a room? I wouldn't give em $450 for the whole building!

I had a reservation to stay at this motel on 11.8.23 and 11.9.23. I stayed in this motel many years ago and it was great........ I went to check in at 620pm on 11.8.23 and got checked in with no problem but when I went to my room and realized it was absolutely disgusting I immediately went back to the office and told them I would not be staying there as the room had electrical wires hanging out of the ceiling, no curtains on the windows, spider webs in every corner of the room and the floors looked like they had not been cleaned in months. Was told no problem and that I would be issued a refund. Needless to say I still got charged for 2 nights and can not get a refund because nobody will answer the phone when you call!!!!!! This is UNSAT! I didn't even stay there and still got charged for 2 nights. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.Rooms: WORST I'VE EVER SEENNoteworthy details: STAFF WAD HORRIBLE. They promised me they would refund my money since I didn't stay there which was a straight up lie right to my face

My mother got a room for 2 nights because my dad was passing and there was rats everywhere, bugs and flies everywhere. The smoke detectors were on the tables. And no locks on the doors. My poor mom didn’t sleep at all. Yall need to do better. Oh and the room keys wouldn’t work and there was no plug for the tv. And hand towels to dry off with. That’s a bit ridiculous.

I want my money back!!!!! This was the most disgusting place I’ve ever seen or been in. First, I had to call a number to wake someone up to register me. Gave me key cards that didn’t work back in and get them redone. Still didn’t work then the girl came to the room and said she’d bring do it again and bring the cord back never came back ceiling tiles falling out Horrendous flies all over the place bugs on the floor carpet filthy. We used and towels for towels no locks on the doors except the door knob. Lock smoke detector, taken off the ceiling and put on the table. No cord for the TV. And the cable was unplugged, rats galore. Garbage overflowing employees there don’t really wanna work so when I talk to the new manager Theresa when I get home from my trip I’m expecting my $191 back didn’t sleep a wink if there was another place to go to I would have but unfortunately, for us, my children’s father was dying he passed away 925 at night their house was too crowded to stay. There is nothing else around. Very very disappointed. Never again. I would stay away. Far far away.Rooms: Disgusting

Food and drinks: Mix drinks were cheap, however extremely weak. A red solo cup with 2 shot of tequila and the rest Oj with a splash of grenadine doesn't make a tequila sunrise.

Clean, comfortable, safe, and the BEST hot water for a motel, very affordable pet rooms.The only thing missing was the restaurant was temporarily closed during our stay.Rooms: Rooms were clean and comfortable. The BEST hot water you can get in a motel.Safety: Was much safer than the reputation of Farmville properties. I'm so glad we found Sheldon's.Noteworthy details: We were traveling with pets and the additional pet fee was affordable, unlike many motels.

Bed bugs. I was there on the 15th of June with my family. When I walked into the room the chairs were dinghy and dated the bathroom tub had turned blue discoloration from the water dripping. They had made repairs everywhere using silicone.I had checked the bed for bugs but the room had carpet and this dated headboard. I sat on the bed hesitant to lay down. When I did less than 30 minutes something crawled on my side. I grabbed it and turned on the light. It was a bed bug.When I reported it. The clerk came by with a new key and said you want another room...next door! She never went to check the other room. Which means she knew!Never ever again. You have been warned!Noteworthy details: Don't stay

We came in at 11:25 to eat and the bar was not ready and they said the it would not be ready for another 10min.so we waited for for it. And the waitress got our drink order my husband ordered a diet se said I don’t think we have one.them that took another 10 mom to get that and sliverware to eat with .and then went to play upfront at the register with two others I guess they worked there and then a young boy came from the kitchen.he was not 16teen should not be in kitchen at all. And then 2 other young kids in store in went in the kitchen and came out with drinks.and the the salad bar was finely set up there were not ice on it the one who set it up put no ice or anything on.the dressing was in bottles from the store that everyone handles and puts back it was gross. And the tables were not clean and the bathrooms were dirty.I will never eat there again.36 dollars is in the toilet literally.never again……

We did not stay at this hotel, so I can't speak about that aspect of Sheldon's. We came into the restaurant part for a later breakfast, and the server was friendly, but the service itself was lacking. The soda was flat, so I asked to have some sweet tea. The food was OK, except the sausage patties, they were very overcooked. It wasn't the worst experience, but not the best. We would probably go somewhere else when we come back to town to visit family. I won a rare Beanie Baby in the lobby claw machine, so there's that!
