Lee’s has the best fried shrimp and when you order don’t forget the delicious tartar sauce! Great food all round!

I am going to start with, I will try them again, just order different food. Plenty of reviews here and locals say the fried chicken is excellent. Well that is what I ordered and I wouldn't recommend it. I ordered both dark and white to compare. The white meat was dry and the dark meat was nowhere as moist as it should have been. This may be excellent for this area, but definitely not something that impressed me. It may have been severely overcooked. The mac and cheese side dish tasted just like frozen Stouffer's. It even has the same texture. My wife had the philly steak. She liked it and that is important. I tasted it and was not taken back. It was ok, just not well seasoned. The service was good and the atmosphere is the perfect diner atmosphere. Those two pieces will have me come back, however another bad meal will likely halt me returning. I will update this after my second trip.
Oh, the cheesecake was very good and I found out they buy it somewhere else and mark it up to sell. It was worth the markup.

On a right,left driving day, enjoying the drive to Kilmarnock, landed at Lee's for my husband's birthday. The atmosphere, food and service were amazing. Started off with Oyster Stew, perfect in a warm stewed milk Fried seafood platter and fried Oyster platter, cooked beautifully. Service was amazing. We will come back.

It's a diner type restaurant. They have massively updated decor relatively recently. They have roughly the same menu as they always have. Food is the diner version of local favorites. Their crab cakes are good. Better than any other diner style option around here.

Had a bit of a wait for the food and they ran out of a few things on the menu, although overall the food was well worth the wait, the staff were all very nice and attentive even for a very busy Saturday evening. Would definitely highly recommend coming here for the down home fresh meals that they serve up.
