Good friend and I were looking forward to coming on Sunday morning. She ordered crab dip and I ordered crab soup to start. The crab soup was not even hot wasn't even room temperature It was cold I sent it back to warm it up very runny crab soup and the crab dip was nothing to brag about. Then I ordered the fried shrimp which was okay but the vegetables when they brought them out were very cold and I had given up at this time and told the waitress no I'll just take it home and eat it up. My friend ordered the stuff shrimp which was very pricey. She told me to try some of the stuffed crab It tasted like it was made with lemon juice. Very disappointed thought this place would have better food than that. It's going to take my sister there but now they've lost two customers which I'm sure doesn't matter. Bought everything back and gave it to my sister and she said the same thing about the crab soup It was bland and never had crab soup was that runny It was like drinking water. So therefore next time we want good seafood we'll go over the bridge to Maryland or go to Port Royal. At one point was looking for the waitress she was nowhere to be found and I even made a statement to my friend I wonder she's coming back and it's not like they were busy It was just us and a gentleman sitting outside. Sorry I would not recommend this place

Service at the front was not very friendly, we clearly had the wrong idea about the place and they made it clear we were not welcomed, brought our kids for lunch and was ready to enjoy an hour or so to the beach and that is not what you can do. We cannot bring kids water bottles, or bring a back pack, party needs to be together or they won’t seat you (even if the place is empty). Service inside was very friendly but they often forgot about us not sure how it goes when busy. Food was good, they have a little tiny beach access, for touching the water but not staying long.

I expected so-so food at this “on the water” mostly outside restaurant. It is on the water in Fairview Beach, VA. Since it is over the Potomac River it is actually in Maryland.
The vibe was so fun.
The food - I got Sea Bites with remolade sauceand my husband got Rock Fish. They were delicious!!! I was amazed!
We came at 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon. It was jamming!

Ordered mussels and they came cold and more than half of the shells were empty. They were also cold as if they had been in a refrigerator, not as though they had simply cooled down. I asked my server if they were steamed to order and she said yes. I told her they were mostly empty and cooled, like they had been in the fridge. She said she would get a manager. The manager never came and the rest of my party finished their meals. The server came back and took my plate for 5+ minutes, before returning and telling me that they would refund 1/2 because I ate 1/2. I told my server I ate three, which I had already told her in the beginning. She then went and got the manager, who came over, I explained the situation, and he just said Yeah. What??? I told him to please get my check. When it was brought to me I was charged full price. They never offered to remake it or anything. I was with my two kids for my birthday dinner and I got the mussels as my meal. I was shocked at the lack of service. The server seemed embarrassed as well.
