Yo! I am so glad we stumbled in this place! Definitely will be returning. Delicious food, superb service!
I had the sirloin and requested it be cooked rare, and they cooked it perfectly. I requested some sautéed onions with it and they cooked those perfectly too. The green beans I chose for a side were flavorful, ol’ country style. My other side was deviled eggs, and they were very good but needed a little S&P which is on the table and that’s a personal preference so all good there. I have to eat mostly low/no carb for health reasons and it can be tricky sometimes to find a place to eat out that can offer full meals that work for me. I’m not a fan of salads and many places that’s the only option, so I was really happy to find this combo.
Mom got the liver cooked tender and said it was excellent. If you like liver you will like this. I don’t like liver so I didn’t try it, but she was mmmm-ing the whole meal, as were all of us. Our friend with us got the chicken salad sandwich and said it was good, tasty chicken salad.
They have rice pudding for dessert, and cake-of-the-day, which today was a chocolate cake or strawberry cake. Mom and our friend got strawberry cakes and they were INSANELY GOOD. Obviously made with real strawberries and quite moist. Probably the best cake I’ve had in my life! Yeah, I caved and had a couple bites after they were raving about it lol

I wish I didn’t live so far away from this spot, but it’s on the way home from Richmond to the Northern Neck and we make that journey fairly regularly, so we will definitely be back! Do yourself a favor and have a meal here if you haven’t yet. Food is so good, they definitely know how to cook and offer some of the friendliest, most attentive and accommodating service I’ve had.

I went there for breakfast got an omelette with some home fries toast, and coffee omelette was actually very large. I actually thought it was like a four egg omelette. The home fries were very tasty, but I thought the portion size was a little small thinking that it was potatoes. He mixed onions in them really good.. The waitress was pretty good. She was up on everything not one complain about this place except for the home fries but you know It’s located in a strip mall so it’s not a fancy restaurant, but it was OK. It was clean. Prices were good. I think the whole breakfast was like 12 or $13. It was a good value also one other thing I think it’s a family restaurant. I’ll definitely be returning here again when I’m down that way.

I absolutely love this establishment! They have great food and a really large menu. This is a restaurant that has been in the county for a long time and they have provided quality food and service for years.

If you want to support a local business youth is is definitely one that is all around wonderful!

Way to salty. We ordered the Cuban and the Chicken Philly. We were on the way to the Canyon and our choices was Hunts Bros or here so we took a chance on this place and wasn't able to finish our food due the salt being way to high. Also fries were not cooked all the way. Customer service was great though.

This place, hands down, is one of the better food spots in the area. The atmosphere is diverse and welcoming. I've never seen someone walk in and not be greeted like an old friend. The food is out of this world! If you want a meal that will take you back in time to Sunday dinners at your grandparents house, this is the place for you!
