This food was absolutely delicious. I don't have words. Everything we had was flavorful and had a good price. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this place and even made sure to save it on my maps for next time I go through VA. Try the pina colada if your a fan and me personally, I had to get some of their chips and dip Togo.

The food was amazing! My Mother and I went here for their lunch special, and we were both blown away! She thought the rice here was the best she's ever had, and I decided to get a quesadilla with Steak, chicken, and shrimp, and was totally blown away! I'm definitely stopping by here next time I'm in South Hill!

I've been to Mexican restraunts all over the country, and this was quite possibly the worst.

Service was bad. If I hadn't happened to walk in on the restraunt side and ask where the bar was, and get walked there, I likely wouldn't have been noticed for at least 30 minutes, which is about the amount of time in between someone coming to check on the bar, since there was no dedicated bartender at the time apparently. When there WAS someone at the bar, the gentleman seemed more interested in speaking to the three people at the far end than asking me if I needed anything. If I had had cash on me, I would have paid for the beer and went over to Kahill's instead.

The entire place smelled like old pee.

The chips tasted of nothing but fryer oil, and the salsa was worse than anything I've had in a jar, and as usual, I dripped some on the bar. No bartender in sight to ask for napkins though.
Finally got to place my order after nearly finishing my jumbo beer, and I got the arroz tejano with a side of refried beans. The food came out quick, but that's to be expected at a Mexican restaurant. It wasn't very flavorful, in fact it was bland, which is crazy considering it's steak, shrimp, chicken, rice, onion, peppers, and cheese and should be packed with flavor.
The refried beans were thin, and had a strange flavor, almost as if they added cinnamon. I finished most of the bland meal before someone finally came to check on me, and I could finally get some hot sauce. The house hot sauce was the best part of the meal by far, very flavorful, so it's a shame I only got it once I was 2/3 through my meal.
If this hadn't been the first thing I had to eat all day, I would have sent the food back, paid for my drink and left for Kahill's next door.

All in all? No bueno.

The rice was spectacular!!! Tasted like they used sofrito straight from the hands of a dõna! Not from here, but this was waaaayyyyy better than NYC/NNJ. Thank you.

We go here almost every week and really enjoy the chips, salsa, and food. The service is usually great also. It is definitely a favorite to visit for lunch.

New to town coming from Philly and when I tell you this was a pleasant surprise I’m walking out full and with a smile. Beer was cold, food was hot and the service was quick and friendly! 10/10

This place is great. Much better than rat infested Kahill's next door.

First visit. Passing through town
Service was good
Ordered fajitas to share. Was good. A bit bland
Tried a mayonnaise type sauce that came with chips and salsa. Not as I usually get but it was ok.

If you're ever in this area, stop here for the birria tacos and maybe the chorizo tacos and that white sauce with the chips (best sauce dip ever)!! That and they make sweet tea right!
