So,My wife and I stopped in for dinner tonight.The kid at the bar says sit anywhere. We walk toward the back to a table and are told, we're saving it for our friends. Ok, not anywhere.So we go and sit nearer the door. The kid walks past us a couple of times with no acknowledgement of our presence.The "friends" come in and the kid walks past us with a handful of menus, but they aren't for us.A couple of minutes later with still no acknowledgement whatsoever, we get up and head toward the door.Now the waitress decides to accost us declaring she's the only one working."Then say something" I replied and we left.Good luck folks, with this sort of hospitality you will need it.

A captivating evening unfolded at Lakeside Restaurant, nestled alongside the picturesque Chickahominy Lake. A cherished tradition since my childhood, this familial gem, masterfully orchestrated by the Allens, ensures a warm embrace of familiar faces and culinary excellence. Tonight, my palate reveled in the sublime symphony of flavors, opting for the meticulously prepared fried flounder accompanied by a side salad and a delectable baked potato. A harmonious blend of tradition and gastronomic delight, Lakeside continues to shine as a beacon of exceptional dining.
We ate out on the patio and had the most beautiful view. There were four of us and we had four different things, and everything was wonderful. My brother got the shrimp, he said they were delicious, and there were certainly plenty of them. My husband got the catfish sandwich and from the clean plate I'm guessing he loved it. I got a pizza, the crust was perfect. My sister got a chicken sandwich. She said it was very good. We will definitely go back.

The young lady was not in a positive mood. Hamburger ? came out all broken in several pieces instead of one patty. Other hamburgers looked ok. Never checked on the need for water refills.Parking: Awkward parking due to layout of property. Need better designated signs or paved lot with stipes.
