Just had dinner there tonight. Absolutely my new ‘go to’ Mexican restaurant. Party of 5 and we were all pleasantly surprised. Huge portions, excellent, Margaritas, excellent food, reasonably priced, friendly staff and owner.
Very busy for a Friday night. They take no reservations so first come first served. We arrived 5:30 and had to wait 20 minutes. Fortunately the bar was opened and available.
Highly recommend you try this new restaurant!

Food was good. However we were at table near door and it was cold with people coming in and out. Margarita on rocks had too much ice. Noisy atmosphere.

Our new favorite Mexican restaurant. Located off the beaten path on the shores of the Chicahominy River. Vivi's is nestled in a neighborhood at the Midway Marina, Vivi's is a hidden gem. The tableside guacamole was delicious. Our entrees were also amazing. We enjoyed eating on the covered deck with pristine views of the Chicahominy. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Crazy busy. More people than tables at 5:30pm. outside seating was empty due to cold weather. But our wait wasn't too long. Food was excellent and well cooked and reasonably priced. Service was very good. They did forget a side dish but we had way too much food already.
We will go back.

Vivi's was known around Hampton Roads as the cool Mexican food truck with the picture of Frida Kahlo. Now, you can find the same delicious Mexican cuisines with a river view! You can still find the artsy food truck, but it is now parked alongside the restaurant. Do try the table-side made guacamole, as well as the house salsa and white sauce provided gratis with chips before your meal. The burritos are yummy and substantial. You won't go away hungry. The menu has something to please everyone, including vegetarian options and a kid's menu. They have an ABC license, and have margaritas in various flavors, as well as beer and wine. The service is excellent, and the staff bilingual and welcoming. You will not regret dining here if you want some Latin dining on the river.

Finally a restaurant in the haven! So happy this has opened. What a beautiful spot on the river. The re-vamped space has an indoor bar and 2 outdoor patios. They have lunch specials and a full dinner menu. Definitely worth checking out.
