Excellent wait staff and food. Their garlic knots are really delicious and the salad is really fresh.
Locals know this restaurant well. It is a well kept secret. Excellent New menue with all of your favorites, oven roasted oysters, Lobster ravioli w/ crabe meat, veal francaise, chicken pinata, egg plant parmesan... wine selection very good, even house chianti. Nice selection of desserts. Ambience is okay, and service and staff very nice. A little hard to find this Italian restaurant, but worth the search. Don't judge by camp ground setting and building exterior. Walk in head high and enjoy a great evening with friends.
Always great food and service. If you live in the Richmond - Williamsburg area or stay at Rockahock RV park you have to try this place.
Walker's Dam Grill is located in the Rockahock Campground and a great surprise. Who would think of finding a fine Italian restaurant in a campground? We had the veal francese and chicken parmigiana. Both plates were very good. The restaurant is quaint. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely eat there again.
Had a very nice dinner there with a large group of friends. The Cioppino soup was not what I expected but was still good. The fettuccine Asiago was good and the Key lime meringue was very good.
Always enjoy dining here with friends. Many special deals especially on Wednesdays. Generous portions of a wide selection of authentic Italian food. Can accommodate large groups. Reservations recommended. Out of the way but well worth the trip. Short drive from Williamsburg . Restaurant is located near Rockahock campground. Go prepared to be well fed and maybe even have a little left over to take home!
We had planned a re-visit with two other couples as a jump off for a trip to Europe. The food, as always, was exceptional. Service was spot-on and with a smile. Our waitress Barbara took care of us. All in our party were very happy.
We were looking for a nicer locale and the restaurant was highly recommended by the B&B where we were staying. I don't know where these good reviews are coming from because it was if we were in a different restaurant than that described by other reviewers. The table where were seated was sticky. Once seated, it took an unusually long time to be waited on. Once we ordered, it took a long time to be served. While we waited, Spanish language television was blaring. Two of the three of us had pasta. It was overcooked to the point that both of us felt that it had very little texture. I made the mistake of ordering tilapia....
This restaurant is delightful. The Chickahominy river has 3 restaurants and this one is worth the trip up river. Our friends said we need to make the trip because the food has been great this year. They were really busy on Saturday night so we had to be patient. It was worth the wait.
Appetizers for our group of nine were very good. My double cut pork chop was over cooked because it was butterflied. Marsala sauce was basically brown gravy with very little marsala flavor. Mushroom risotto was rice pilaf. No aborio rice, no creamy texture, no flavor. Very poor for a supposed traditional Italian restaurant. I won't be back.

This is one our favorite eating places. You can't get better Italian food in the Williamsburg area.
The staff was very welcoming and friendly. However the food was disappointing. I had the Chicken Limone and my spouse had the Flounder Francese, dishes which we have both enjoyed before in various restaurants. While I realize that each chef puts their own touch on a dish, the sauce for this was so heavy that it completely overpowered the flavor of both the chicken and the fish. Additionally, the sauces tasted the same for both dishes. The chocolate cake with raspberry sauce that we had for dessert was very good.
A little off the beaten path but the freshly made meals is well worth the trip. The prices are reasonable and the wait staff friendly.
We were staying in Williamsburg so finding Walker Dam took a little effort, but the GPS took us right to it and it was well worth the trip! Food was plentiful, authentic Italian, and wonderful! We split the mussels marinara appetizer and it was delicious and all were pleased with their entrees. Be sure to try the garlic knots! Our server was excellent and very friendly and helpful, and the owner was also very friendly and came around to our table to see how our meal was and just to chat. We were there in the winter, but in the summer there is also an outdoor patio or deck overlooking the water. The restaurant is in a campground which was pretty deserted in December, but the restaurant was packed. I'm not sure where all the people came from, but I think in the summer reservations would be a must.
We shared the veal Marsala which was to die for. I felt like I was back home in NY on Arthur Avenue. The pasta was silky. I bet it is home made. While this place is off the beaten path it is worth the ride. My second time here. Looking forward to another great meal!
