The food was so good! Catfish was amazing, and all the sides were perfect. Cornbread was delicious!!!

I so much wanted to like this restaurant. My food was hot. So that’s a plus. Fried Whiting, fish was over cooked, dry. Macaroni cheese was very hot . Not much flavor at all and literally cheese was non existent. I was so surprised. Yams were the best food ordered. Hot but very sweet. Unfortunately I did not like my cornbread either. Tea was extremely sweet. But I know many people like it that way. My husband’s food was not good either. Hamburger steak smothered in gravy. Mashed potatoes, gravy and collard greens ( only thing he said tasted good). I’m not sure if we will give them another try or not. If we do it might be for something easy like a hamburger or chicken wing dings. Maybe the normal staff cooking wasn’t there. Idk. It was the Peanut Festival that day also.

Best Soul Food......Loved it❤️

So my husband and I hit the road and ended up at Tae’s restaurant on June 5th 2025. The restaurant was clean and quaint…nice atmosphere . We ordered our food, I had the catfish, baked mac and collard greens with a piece of cornbread. He had whiting, potato salad( It taste like home) and string beans. The food was delicious, I was very impressed. I/we would definitely make it one of our stops traveling from up north back down south.

The chicken salad sandwich was delicious. I normally don't eat chicken salad sandwiches but this one is tasty. I liked the sweet taste and not over filled with celery.

My chicken was fried with two long strands of hair, I was told it was breaded and fresh which was not the case, the yams tasted sour, the Mac and cheese was sloppy, and the greens were also not freshly made as I was told. I give honest reviews…

Good home cooked food, warm hospitality, clean and comfortable atmosphere. Dropped by and grab a bite for yourself and you drop a review. Your tummy will be satisfied if you enjoy Soul Food.
