Our 4- top table ordered clam strips, onion petals, ribeyes, crab cakes and sautéed shrimp and the salad bar! Homemade croutons - YUM! Desserts- coconut cake, lemon blueberry pie and an orange cream cake- y’all GO! We will def make this a regular dinner option. Thank you The Oaks!

This company employs staff that bullies people online and supports Trump. They say that it’s not on their time and they are allowed to do what they want. Which they are, but I won’t be dining somewhere that employs people who berate and belittle people fighting to uphold the constitution.

We were out today exploring the historic Northern Neck and decided to try The Oaks restaurant. I'm glad we did! We were greeted as soon as we came through the door by the owner, Monty Carter, who was very accommodating and friendly. As soon as he seated us, one of his waitresses came over and asked if she could get us something to drink while we viewed the menu, which she did immediately. I decided on the hand cut ribeye steak, loaded baked potato, and a trip to the salad bar. My wife had the filet mignon, baked sweet potato, and lime beans. The steaks as well as the rest of the food were cooked perfectly, just like we asked. The atmosphere and the staff were terrific, and we will definitely be returning!

Great little restaurant. Glad we went early so we didn't have to wait in line. Appetizers ,entrees and desert were perfect. Waitress was outstanding! We will return next time we are in the area!

The steak was stuff. This was worst steak house I have ever been too. You would think if pay a good price for a steak it would be tender and moist. This was the toughest steak I have ever had. I have been to some nice steak houses. Smith and Wollensky in NY and Ruth Criss and for what you pay you would thought you pay that much for a steak it would be comparable, but it was not . Don’t waste your money.

The owner was extremely rude and obnoxiously berated my husband, tonight. He went in the restaurant to make an order to go. She came to seat him, he told her he was waiting to make a to go order; she said she wasn't taking that and walked away. He assumed that someone else would come to take the order. So, he walked over to the bar to look at a menu; she came back and raised her voice with "What do you think your doing?" He explained to look at the menu to make an order. She was extremely loud and scolded him with, "Let me break it down for you..." Very loudly verbally attacking him about how making a to go order takes away from the customers that are in there now...
THIS WAS NOT NECESSARY!!!! You're online info says you do have "take-out" which we have done several times in the past!!! We recently have been dealing with some of the most HORRIBLE things adults can go through!!! Barely able to care for ourselves and not to mention my husband has HORRIBLE (at times - crippling) PTSD and this is how you treat people!!!! It's great to know what kind of business you have there and especially, how you treat people with disabilities!!! Unacceptable!!!!! As for your patrons jumping on board name calling because they feel confident with your display of tyranny - great job!!! Wonderful group!!!

We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, but they provided us a place to wait and offered us drinks. The service and food were great, and both women had enough of our pork chops and chicken breasts to make another meal for the next day. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
