Chandra and Dan were very accommodating. Sunday supper was delicious. They even took us on a private tour of many of the rooms. We will be returning for the food and the beautiful history of this 1766 estate. Highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Valentine's scallops, salad, and bread pudding were excellent. The waitstaff was fine, but one server short. The main course was tabled 90 minutes into the dinner. The dining room was very cold, parking was limited and tight, the grounds were unlit, and the walkway sadly in need of repair.

Fresh, amazing, and well-presented food, great service, and very pretty and intimate dining room. 10/10 would recommend

Great food! We did have a hard time seeing where to drive and park in the dark. But the food was great! We will be back!

Such a little gem less than an hour from Charlottesville. It's an inn as well with simple but comfortable rooms. The staff is warm and inviting. The food was excellent. You have to order the chocolate gluten free cake. It is to die for. We went to Charlottesville for a couple nights, one night at the Inn and Tavern at Meander, for our anniversary in December, and it was such a nice addition. Also nice to be able to have a nice dinner at your inn. You can have a little wine and no one has to drive ❤️

Such a nice evening in a beautiful period house. Excellent food and service. We will definitely return. We had no idea this is such a local treasure.

Our experience was terrific and just what we were expecting! The service was really good- attentive but not intrusive. Julie was friendly and professional. The meal was wonderful and expertly prepared- kudos to Chef! The scallops were succulent and delicious, not overcooked at all. Atmosphere in the historic inn was delightful. Great job to all.

Wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at an historic inn. The Thanksgiving buffet was plentiful and very filling.

The Inn & Tavern at Meander is our go-to weekend getaway! Dan (general manager) and the rest of the staff are wonderful - attentive, responsive, professional, and always go above and beyond to make every guest feel right at home. Accommodations are cozy and quaint, the location is paradise, cuisine is top-notch...only praises for this establishment and its staff. Can't wait to visit again!

This was a birthday celebration for my husband, Steve. The food and service was OUTSTANDING!!! The courtyard dining was lovely with the exception that there needs to be more lighting....either at the table level or other types of LED lighting. That would have made the evening perfect! The fire pit was great but again, no lighting to get to it when it was pitch dark not knowing where to step, etc. However, we made it with lighting from our phones. We met some nice people who were staying there for the weekend with celebrations of their own. And, they had there furbabies with them on leashes. Overall, we can't wait to go back!!! Congrats to Team Meander!! Steve & Barb Smith

This place was so run down. I don't know where they got the pictures. I made the reservation on OpenTable which has no indication that on Sundays they have a Sunday supper. This is basically pulled pork and fried chicken with your typical southern side dishes of mac and cheese and other high-fat high calorie options. I see that this is on their website but it is not on OpenTable so I did not know about it when I made the reservation on a Sunday. We got to the reception area and there was no one to be seen. There was another lady who was checking in to the Inn who kept asking us if we were in the right place. We had no idea if she was in the right place but she kept asking us. We sat and waited for a while with no one appearing. We rang the bell at the reception desk and no one came. We called the phone number and it went right to voicemail. Finally a young woman came and seated us in the dining room which was fine but not nearly as beautiful and upscale as the pictures made it look. The outside of the Inn is overgrown with weeds, the brick path leading up to the front door is falling apart and all of the concrete has disintegrated. We left without eating.

Such a lovely setting. The house and grounds and dining room are beautiful. Excellent service from the waitstaff - sincerely friendly and easygoing. The food is homecooked comfort food for Sunday dinner only: fried chicken, potato salad, green beans, cornbread. Very large portions - don't eat too much cornbread or you won't make it to dessert. The menu for the Thursday - Saturday is intriguing. The waiter had me at "Rack of Lamb." Looking forward to returning soon.

The food is fantastic and the venue is even better. A quaint, intimate room that was absolutely perfect for a date night! The three course prix fixe is worth every penny, and is not too expensive at all.

We have been going to Meander Inn for almost 20 years. During Covid it went through some rough patches but we are so excited that it is back up to par. A new general manager (Daniel) started a number of months ago and he has been busy getting things sorted. There is a new(ish) chef as well. All told we are pleased to report that the standards are back! We are looking forward to trying breakfast!

We truly enjoyed our day at the Inn at Meander. It was in a beautiful and peaceful setting where it almost felt like you were stepping back in time. We had a nice tour before dinner where we learned about the history of the Inn and then were seated outdoors to dine and take in the views. Our meal was delicious and service was great. Would definitely recommend!
