El Vaquero West- Locust Grove

Wonderful little hidden gem. Good authentic Mexican eats in locust grove and friendly warm atmosphere. Good food, good prices, great service. 5/5! Would totally recommend it!

Food was good but was shocked when we opened and saw the very small portion and especially after spending almost $100. My wife and I eat at quite a few Mexican restaurants and this has been the worst when it comes to portions. Our parents usually have enough to share a plate but not this time. We will not be a frequent customers at this place.

This restaurant is hidden which has an impact on business I’m sure. But, my family and I stopped in late for dinner. The restaurant was empty. The service was great, the waitresses were super nice. The restaurant was very clean. The food was also great. I feel like this hidden gem gets overlooked due to another Mexican restaurant right around the corner. But, I’ll definitely return! Thanks for great service and food!

Amazing food, service was just "meh" not good nor bad. Definitely would go back though!

Parking: There's free parking, but a very small lot.

Kid-friendliness: Staff was friendly when it came to dealing with a toddler. Did not feel alienated due to it.

They never answer the phone, when ordered they tell you 10 mins actually takes 45 mins

Maybe we hit them up on a bad day (a slowly Sunday) but the food was pretty disappointing, the chicken soft tacos did not have any seasoning on them and so much sour cream it was 2/3rds of it...and made the whole dish cold.The quesadilla was just chicken and a very small amount of cheese, no vegetables just a ton of oil in the to go tray, so much that the quesadilla was soggy, it was literally just chicken and like a sprinkle of cheese, no exaggeration.The meals were also inconsistent, I ordered chicken tacos and asked if they could do a steak tacos as well, the chicken tacos had lettuce, tomatoes and some cheese...the steak tacos literally were just steak in a tortilla.The food overall tasted like it was not fresh and something just tasted off, almost like an artificial/chemically taste to it...it was strange.I don't really enjoy criticizing the quality of others work because it's their livelihood but at the same time something definitely has to give here. I would be willing to try them 1 more time in hopes it was a bad day but overall I probably will never return. I was expecting at least bit better than a chain chili's restaurant and was surprised when a chili's restaurant beat out this place.I highly doubt we will return here again simply due to the fact most of the issues above are visible and noticeable....so they could easily be fixed...they were just CHOSEN to be ignored.
