I had a great experience at Kung Fu Tea thanks to Ziyad and Jacob! Both were super friendly, fast, and made my order perfectly. Ziyad was welcoming at the register, and Jacob handled the drinks with care. You can tell they care about good service—definitely made my visit better!

I don’t often leave reviews, but I wanted to make sure this specific worker knew how much I appreciated her help. It was my first time at Kung Fu Tea. I was so overwhelmed on what selection of drink was for me. I wanted to specifically say thank you to Haniya (I believe that’s how you spell it, I’m so sorry if not). Haniya offered me the best selection, explaining to me different toppings and guiding me through the slushes vs milk teas, etc. She was so kind to me and really made sure my experience was extremely positive. Thank you Haniya!

This place has really gone downhill. Not sure if management changed or what, but I was initially so excited to finally have a boba place in Lorton but what a letdown now. They never have toppings ever! I’ve ordered matcha, jellies, and latest, boba. How does a boba shop run out of boba? I understand it happening time to time but why are they not meeting the demand and keeping more on hand? So strange. If you order ahead, it’s a hit or miss if the drink will actually be ready. I ordered 40 minutes in advance recently because I know they take forever. I get there and they hadn’t even made my drinks (one of 3)! Why? They were out of boba. My number is listed on my account and I’ve had them call me before when this was the case, but they really let 40 minutes pass by and not even call me, just waited for me to come pick it up fo then start making my drink. The girl apologized but also tried to give me attitude saying they called. I held up my phone log to show zero calls from them and she just said sorry again. Like girl what? Why lie to make this worse? Stick to the apology even though 40 minutes is unacceptable. I then suggested they put on the app when they’re out of toppings since this has happened so often and she said “we can’t control that, the manager does….” Okay if the manager is not in the store, let them know so they can update accordingly on the app so customers are not waiting 40+ minutes for one drink? Communication internally or with management does not seem to be their strong suit, and that will definitely be one of the reasons for their downfall and why there’s so many bad reviews.
Also, the time before this, I went with a group and sat inside. The boba was hard and stale and apparently their scanner wasn’t working - is there ever a day when they have all their menu items and toppings and machines working properly?! Ridiculous. I ended up paying $1 for boba when it’s usually 0.75 cents on the app. Another time, MONTHS ago, they didn’t have matcha milk strike or something so I had to replace with something cheaper. When I asked them to refund me the $2 difference in toppings, they said I had to email them, which I did. Still no reply. When I went in recently, I mentioned this to the rare nice guy working there and he took down my email and said their manager would reach out. It’s been over a month, and still nothing.
Really disappointing. I recommend you take your business to Sharetea down the road. Better service and quality, and things aren’t constantly out! Do better KFT Lorton!

1st and last visit, out of mango bobas ok ordered a drink for strawberry bobas, out of those as well only grape! Ordered and paid for mango oolong tea! Oops out of that as well, settled for tropical pineapple tea! Not a fan! Only reason I gave a 1 is because I couldn’t review without a star! Clerk was also not very engaging! I’ll spend my money somewhere else!

The green and black tea is inconsistent either it’s burnt or it’s good, regardless of the time of day. The staff is pretty young so maybe they don’t know how to brew tea but they’re friendly and always professional.

I think I’m back to KFT!! I had taken a break from KFT for a while due to various reasons, such as other tea franchises. I came into the Lorton location after a long break and ordered a Strawberry Lemon GT, 70% sweetener, less ice. Akaysha is the nice young lady that prepared it. At the end of the drink, there was room left to fill the cup, and she topped it off with green tea. That’s right, green tea and NOT water/ice like some places do when they need to fill a cup. Needless to say, the drink was delicious. I could taste the strawberry, the lemon and more importantly, the green tea! I ordered (3) more to take home to enjoy with my hubby. The next day (today) I went back and got (8) more drinks. Akaysha was working with Jacob and again, the drinks are fantastic, made exactly per my request. I used to go to another KFT location, but the drinks started to go down in taste. Way too much lemon, couldn’t taste any green tea… this location seems to have the process down pat! I like knowing my drink will taste the same no matter who makes it because they’re all trained to make them the same way. It’s important to be consistent! And thank you for topping off with real green tea and not adding more ice. It may not seem like it would make a huge difference, but trust this tea lover- it does!! I am pretty sure I will be back consistently to place my large orders to help me make it through stressful work weeks!
Sigh… I don’t want to be fickle. But I’ve ordered 2x more. Different people made the drinks… and both times they don’t taste as good. Can’t taste any green tea. Can taste a lot of lemon though. And they left 1/2 - 1” of space/foam to the top of the cup. The inconsistency kind of sucks but I’ll leave my review at 5*s
