The green and black tea is inconsistent either it’s burnt or it’s good, regardless of the time of day. The staff is pretty young so maybe they don’t know how to brew tea but they’re friendly and always professional.

I think I’m back to KFT!! I had taken a break from KFT for a while due to various reasons, such as other tea franchises. I came into the Lorton location after a long break and ordered a Strawberry Lemon GT, 70% sweetener, less ice. Akaysha is the nice young lady that prepared it. At the end of the drink, there was room left to fill the cup, and she topped it off with green tea. That’s right, green tea and NOT water/ice like some places do when they need to fill a cup. Needless to say, the drink was delicious. I could taste the strawberry, the lemon and more importantly, the green tea! I ordered (3) more to take home to enjoy with my hubby. The next day (today) I went back and got (8) more drinks. Akaysha was working with Jacob and again, the drinks are fantastic, made exactly per my request. I used to go to another KFT location, but the drinks started to go down in taste. Way too much lemon, couldn’t taste any green tea… this location seems to have the process down pat! I like knowing my drink will taste the same no matter who makes it because they’re all trained to make them the same way. It’s important to be consistent! And thank you for topping off with real green tea and not adding more ice. It may not seem like it would make a huge difference, but trust this tea lover- it does!! I am pretty sure I will be back consistently to place my large orders to help me make it through stressful work weeks!
Sigh… I don’t want to be fickle. But I’ve ordered 2x more. Different people made the drinks… and both times they don’t taste as good. Can’t taste any green tea. Can taste a lot of lemon though. And they left 1/2 - 1” of space/foam to the top of the cup. The inconsistency kind of sucks but I’ll leave my review at 5*s

I had a great experience at the Lorton Kung Fu Tea. The lady who helped me was nice and my tea was ready when I arrived. The tea was delicious. I'd definitely return.
Second time at this Kung Fu tea, and I am disappointed. My husband and I went to this location for a second time, and it's been meh. We ordered the Herbal Jelly Wow Tea and the Longan jujube tea, and it did not taste good. The Herbal Jelly wow tea was straight up 75% lactaid milk with 25% mix of tapioca and herbal jelly. My husband's longan jujube was wayyyy too sweet (a lot of artificial sweeteners). If you want quality Boba tea, I would suggest going to Tea-Do in Annandale/Fairfax, VA. If you're craving Boba tea, it's better to be satisfied than left unsatisfied with generic Boba tea that leaves an artificial taste in your mouth or getting iced milk instead of what you ordered.

The boba was very stale in my milk tea. And my husband’s taro slushy was just chunks of ice and not blended very well. Make sure you check before you leave the shop.

I love this place, i always get brown sugar with foam on top, but this time i came i was so disappointed to my milk tea, looks different and taste different for what usually ordered, and foam on top barely touch it, and it looks like the guy who made my milk tea is new, they better train him the standard how to make it.
