Free parking. This establishment has been around for years, inside is a bit outdated.
The fry rice has little to none eggs in it.
Taste is fine.

This could actually take the cake for the best restaurant in Lorton. I’ve been coming here since I was five and this place hasn’t changed one bit and that’s the best thing about it they keep what they have going because it works. Food is AMAZING I get the fried rice and any one the proteins I’ve had them all. The house soup is a great starter too! Great dine in option they make is like a show so you aren’t on your phone or bored waiting for your food.

Came back to this restaurant for some Japanese food a favorite of mine but a little disappointed (they've changed since last time I've been here in 2018, 2022. Good place for hibachi, though.

My husband has been going here for over 16 years. We love going and their sushi is top tier. We also love their hibachi (my kids do too- and they’re very picky)! Robert is so friendly and welcoming.

I called Tokyo One in Lorton, Virginia, on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, to make a reservation for three on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. I mentioned we would like a hibachi table by ourselves, if possible, as one of us (my sister) has a fatal allergy to onions and garlic. We have been there a few times in the past, and everything was fine. However, not this time! When we arrived, we again said we made a reservation for a hibachi table by ourselves as we cannot have onions cooked on the grill because even the smell can cause mi sister ill symptoms, and we were seated and told to inform our server, which we did when she took our orders, and she said that is okay. When the soup and salad arrived, there were onions in my sister’s soup, as well as dressing containing onion on her salad. My sister apologized, and explained, again, that she couldn’t eat anything containing onions. The server then brought her another soup and salad. A few minutes later, the server brought us our appetizer, and we waited about 20 minutes for the hibachi chef to come over. (We were the only ones in the restaurant for a little while as we arrived just after opening.) We finished our soup and salad, and were almost finished with the appetizer when the server sat two men at our table. I let them know that we cannot have any onions, so if they want onions cooked on the hibachi grill, it would be best if they were seated at another table. They both said they were fine with having no onions. Just minutes after sitting down, they placed their order, and the chef came over. One of the men said the manager or owner said hello to him, and that he knows him because he used to come here frequently. We said that we’ve been here several times as well. We were not pleased that we sat for over 20 minutes waiting for the chef and two men come in and got immediately served! We told the chef no yum yum sauce for my sister, and he put some in the fried rice and the vegetables! I explained that we cannot have yum yum sauce on anything cooked on the grill, as there are onions in it. He said there were no onions, only mayonnaise. As the food became ready, he served the two men their rice and meat first, even though we arrived before them! After he served us our vegetables, he put onions on the grill to mix into the two men’s vegetables. If sitting at another hibachi table was not an option, we would have gladly left and gone somewhere else. The server was very attentive to the two men, but twice we had to wave her over to get more tea. Then when she brought the checks out, she handed the men theirs first, and took their payment before us, as well. On the way home, my sister’s face started itching. When I became concerned, she said there was probably onion in the yum yum sauce, as she has never had yum yum sauce because all other restaurants inform her that she can’t eat it due to the onions in it. She is fine with that, very used to it, as well as eating salads with no dressing. We will not be returning to Tokyo One, and feel that is what they want, as this was the first time we were treated so poorly. Please train your staff better, and if you don’t want to accommodate a guest with allergies, we should have been told they can’t do it when we called to make the reservation, instead of assuring us that it would be no problem.

If I could give lower I would, food would have prolly been good IF I got the chance to eat it !!!! FIRST OFF BUG FROZEN INTO MY ICE CUBES. The chef rushed our “food” rice & noodles. NOHING ELSE. HOW DOES FOUR CUPS OF RICE = ONE EGG ??!!! Tried to charge extra for more eggs We deiced to just take what was already done & leave. Then they tried to make us pay for the friend rice and noodles
. We left it right on the counter for them to throw away ??!!!!! Mind you I’m from OUT OF TOWN !! My first time ever thereeeeeee. We also NEVER got our soup or salad.

Had a hibachi dinner with a large group. Ordered steak and shrimp and the food came out in kind of wide spread times more than usual for this type of experience. The rice came out and then we waited a while before proteins and then even veggies were still another long wait to get a full plate. Service requests from any waiter were slow on drinks or needing anything. Steak came out more done than medium rare and was wet from oil. Overall it’s okay but have had better.

Best hibachi around. Great food and service. The filet mignon is so tender and tasty. Highly recommend.

Okay, so me and my fiancé went to this Hibachi restaurant and you can tell that whoever owns it is cheap.

We left Fort Belvoir, a 15 minute drive, to come here for dinner at 6:30PM. We waited about eight minutes before being greeted by the manager. She said it was going to be about a 30 minute wait. Cool. We love Hibachi so we were willing to wait. We ended up going to Kung Fu Panda at 7:06PM and was not seated until 8:46PM. Okay, we sat and waited another ten minutes for someone to take our order. No one came. A gentleman waiter walked by and asked had we had our drinks taken. We (my fiancé and the rest of the table) said no. He pulled out his phone and took our drink orders. Another 10 minutes pass and our female waitress comes and takes our drink orders again. We all said, the guy just took our order. She said yeah idk where he went. So she took it again. Then she took our food orders. My fiancé ordered chicken and steak (New York strip) and I ordered vegetable fried rice. The lady (with a man) ordered a California sushi roll. Never came. She had to ask twice. Finally, our chef comes, after everyone at the table asked at least once where he was. He comes and he is asking, “Where are the rice bowls?” I didn’t think anything of it. So he makes the rice and veggies and then pulls out the seafood and chicken. Then pulls out a round steak (filet) and two probably 5 inch long, 1.5 inch wide “steaks.” I was in disbelief of how small they were. I know for sure the owner got a regular size New York strip and cut it in thirds. That’s how small they were. So I’m already like, yeah they aren’t getting a tip because they are already getting over on people. The chef is preparing to serve the rice and puts it into these shallow bowls. Probably 1.5 cups worth. If that. Maybe a cup and a quarter. So I’m like what is this. I immediately order a to go rice because my man is 6’3 and 250 lbs and Jamaican. What is this serving going to do. The chef then cuts up the steak. My man got about five pieces from the third of steak. We leave the restaurant at about 9:30p. Our bill was $54. I left no tip. This waitress comes over, points at my bill and says you didn’t tip the chef. I said I’m not going to because this service was horrible. The food, taste wise, was fine but if you rate everything, overall, our of 5, it was a 1 star experience. No music playing. No ambiance. Long waits. Small portions. No thank you. Never again.

Second time here and service just gets worse.
