Racism is still alive unfortunately. We walked in and were told no tables but two were empty. No hello, welcome, just dirty looks
My friend and I stopped in for a late breakfast they were fairly busy and two kids walked in the door and the little boy was holding the door for an older person and our server who literally rolled her eyes and threw the menus at us y'all did the little boy and told him to shut the door and I looked at her and said I think he was just trying to be a gentleman and she just rolled her eyes and walked away. Didn't get a chance to try the food because I don't want to patronize a place that's rude to children therefore we will never be back@

Bad experience. Drove from Ashburn VA for lunch. Arrived at 11:30 a.m. to a practically empty place. Two other diners were there. We were told we couldn't sit at a large table as it was reserved for large groups. I inquired if they expected a large family at 11:30 a.m. on a Friday and the response was "they might show up". Settled for another set of tables and proceeded to split the table in order to not take up two tables and a woman screamed at my wife to not move the table. That was it. We were obviously not welcomed as a bi-racial couple so we ended up in Purceville, VA.
I wasn't able to read the entire response from owner but after looking at the reviews it appears that the "local" guides have nothing but good things to say while "non local" guides report a totally different attitude. Doesn't matter what the owners say: Ya'll were rude and unprofessional. Definitely not EVER going back. Good luck!

We recommend, wonderful small town friendly, home cooking, so good. We are so glad we stopped. To much food to consider dessert! But I really wanted to try the pie. We were visiting from Nevada so someday I'm going back for the pie. Small towns can be so fun!

While there wasn't any actual Political signs, there were a couple AR-15 flags saying "come take it". So there's that.
Our waitress, the only one there i do believe seemed as if she had a personal grudge against life. But the food was very good. Pleasantly surprised.
So if don't mind a distinctly republican vibe & and borderline rude customer service...👍

A real diner through and through. You come here for a quick breakfast and you don’t feel like cooking. It’s unfortunate that inflation has caused the prices of simple breakfast items to go up, but it is what it is. Diners are hard to find and this one has been here for many years. Very clean and homey space. A good portion of food, especially if you ask for gravy and biscuits. Good and quick service, you go and pay at the front.

The Lovettsville Diner is one of the only local diners that serves good ol’ fashioned country soul food.
My wife and I make the trek from Gaithersburg, Maryland, to the Lovettsville Diner for breakfast.
The service is great, and the prices are very reasonable.
If you enjoy classic local diners with a country flavor, this spot is for you!

I come here only occasionally because I live 18 miles away in Leesburg, Virginia. The sign on their door says that they close at 3 pm as does information about their business online. Today I drove here arriving about 2:20 pm. As soon as I drove up and got out of my car, someone slammed the closed sign on their door. I continued to walk up and bang on their door. A woman answered the door to tell me that she's the owner and that she decided to close early because it's hot today and they haven't had.much business. 2:20 pm in the afternoon probably isn't their busiest time of day anyway. When I told her that I just drove miles from Leesburg,.she angrily yelled at someone in the back asking what they thought. I decided to leave because of her extremely rude attitude.and because it would be extremely uncomfortable for me even if I could have stayed.

First of all, make your guest feel like guest and remotely welcomed in your establishment even if they aren’t locals! Secondly, if your sign and google has your hours posted until 3 honor the hours posted. Don’t arbitrary decide to close at 2 and make your guest feel pressured to leave with all the comments about closing soon. Also, if y’all have a dinner menu what time would dinner be if you close everyday at 3pm? I tried to order from the dinner menu and was told something about the steamer wasn’t on -why because we are closing soon! Apparently these people aren’t interested in making money

A classic neighborhood doner with good food and friendly services. I really liked the blueberry pancakes and the omelets are generously filled. It can be busy, especially on the weekends.
