I stayed at the Village Inn in the Oyster Point business park and was very disturbed that I had to wait awhile for a desk clerk to come and register me. Also the smell in the room made me feel bad. There are signs of termite damage in the room. Had to request a vacuum cleaner to vacuum my room. Wall paper in bathroom peeled down under sink and there is a place where the baseboard is gone with signs of mold. Took a long time to get warm water. Other than all of that, the staff were pleasant. I paid for 5 nights and I've been here 3 nights. I'll be looking for a nicer, cleaner and up dated room.
Nice place! Clean and comfortable.
We had a great night’s sleep in this quiet little motel. The room was very clean and well stocked with towels and extra linens. We couldn’t hear either of our neighbors and we slept soundly. The view in the morning is incredible. They were happy to make an extra pot of coffee for us in the morning.
Enjoyed our night stay on a road trip. The clerk Sam was very nice. And socialable. Love the way the inn is designed.Personal choice I would rather have wood floors than carpet. Can't say much for TV..never turned it on..Would stay here agai
Late night snow prevented us from continuing our journey and we were worried about a little motel but we were pleasantly surprised. The gentleman at the office was professional and kind, gave us a room in the back away from the sound of the highway. Linens and beds were adequate but the room was spacious with well-kept chain hotel furniture and impeccable maintenance. I mean not a drop of paint was out of place. Very clean. Little fridge and microwave in the room, desk, table and chairs - one for the table and one for the desk. Lamps around the room. Awoke the next morning to find a cute town and many wineries and breweries in the area. Pretty motifs painted on the buildings and clearly the bricks were repointed and windows were new, complete with shutters. Very cute. Plotting a return trip!
My favorite place to stay when I'm in the area. Well maintained and clean accommodations.
Exceptionally clean. Very nice staff. Would definitely stay here again.
Trying to reach DC going north on 29, the Greensboro places were grim. The Lynchburg place i tried was more than I wanted to spend. Kept heading north. Saw the white fence of the Village Inn while going the speed limit. Turned around and went back. It was a good decision. Great people, service, room and rate.
My wife and I are used to staying in 5 star hotels on trips but got in a jam driving to the outer banks. Lucky for us the Village Inn had a room available at 10:00 at night to give us a bed to sleep in. Great personable welcome. The room was clean, the shower/tub was immaculately spotless. We would definitely stay here again as a stopover on a trip.
Said didnt have any rooms but did due to covid19 what does a room have to do with that
The owners are very kind people I have been staying at this hotel for 9yrs and each year is better love this place my name is Reginald M Jones
Staff was super nice the room was exceptionally clean close to groceries gas and a McDonald's will definitely be staying again
Very nice people. Clean. Will stay again. Thank you so much.
Quaint little place. Clean, affordable.
I was in Livingston teaching for 2 weeks. When booking this hotel wasn't an option so I booked in Amherst. After driving 23 minutes each way and seeing this hotel I called the Village Inn. They opened up a room online and within a few hours I was able to book. This saved me almost an hour a day drive. While not a huge deal having an iron and ironing board would be nice. Also, please add outdoor seating. Some chairs, a few picnic tables, etc would be great.Highly recommend.
