I was very disappointed in my recent visit to Bentley's. The menu is very limited, heavily leaning towards poultry. The portions were small, over sauced and overpriced. There are so many better options in Lynchburg.

The two times I’ve come here out of town to visit my family this place has been a joke. The food is subpar and the service is absolutely horrible. I ordered a beer before we asked for the check and 30 minutes later after receiving the check I still did not get the beer that we paid for. After I finally got it everyone else was finished with their drinks and I didn’t even want it anymore. Side note: there were maybe 3 other full tables on a Saturday night and one of the bartenders was sitting at the bar with a customer just chatting. That should tell you all you need to know!

It was my first time in Bentley’s and I have to say it was worth it. If you’re gonna order the she crab soup, and you absolutely should, you have to say yes when they ask you if you want the sherry on top, I promise any other decision is a mistake. I got the Chicago Italian beef sandwich. It was definitely giving The Bear vibes and I left with no regrets.

And if Brian, with an “I”, is behind the bar, be sure to order a cocktail. His service is bar none and his hospitality impeccable. Highly recommend for anyone in the Lynchburg area.

Great food, good atmosphere, I mainly go just for the crab soup, but their burgers and sandwiches are quite good. The Motherclucker, especially if you add pimento cheese, is one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had.

Good food, service was lackluster, waitress didn’t keep glasses full, didn’t check back with us on our food to see if everything was good, plus my wife ordered dessert and the waitress never brought it to table.

Everything was good, but thr brussel sprouts were outstanding! Would go back just for those The she crab soup, risotto and flourless chocolate torte were delicious, as well. The salmon was tasty, but a little overcooked for me. Definitely looking forward to dining there again.

Our party of 14 came here after LU graduation weekend and had an AMAZING time!!! The happy hour promotions were great, the speciality cocktails were delicious, and all of the food we ordered was fresh and flavorful and great portions for value! For being such a large group, our food came relatively quickly and the service was kind and attentive while not being too hovering. Such a great spot in the Rivermont area and we were excited to find this place :)
