About a month ago, I ordered a family meal with fish, corn, and broccoli from Captain D's in Timberlake, VA. I was visiting my hometown from another state and was excited to introduce Captain D's to my husband, especially because I prefer its flavor over Long John Silver's. We drove 30 minutes out of the way from my family's home to get the meal.
Upon arriving at my family's house, we realized that the broccoli was missing from our order, and there was no receipt in the bag. I tried calling the restaurant several times, but the phone line was consistently busy, so I couldn't reach anyone.
Since I was attending church in the area the next day, I decided to visit the restaurant after church to address the issue. The cashier at the front, a young lady, asked for the receipt, and I explained that it wasn't in the bag. My husband had paid for the order using Apple Pay, so I showed her the transaction on his phone. She asked me to step aside while she spoke with the manager.
The manager, a heavier dark-skinned lady with long locs dyed red at the ends, told the cashier to inform me that they wouldn't help with my concern, even though she never came out to speak with me directly. I then requested corporate information because of their rudeness, and the cashier told me to "Google it" before walking away abruptly.
Despite their rudeness, I remained polite and respectful throughout the interaction. I paid for something that I never received, which by law, is considered stealing. According to consumer protection laws, charging for a product or service that is not delivered constitutes theft, as it involves taking money without providing the agreed-upon goods.
This experience was highly disappointing, especially considering I had recommended Captain D's to my family. The lack of customer service and the dismissive attitude of the staff left a very negative impression. I hope the management addresses these issues to improve the customer experience in the future.

I literally waited at the window for 18 minutes on two small simple meals. I could see the cashier having a very detailed conversation with another employee. Going back-and-forth from the cashier and cleaning up at the same time. Gave me no greeting, no sorry for the wait and no thank you. Worst service I’ve had in forever. Will not be coming back here ever again unless it’s in the daytime and hoping to see different staff.

Stopped for lunch and hoping to get it fast in order to meet an appointment schedule. I ordered the fish and fries special for $5.99 and my wife ordered chicken meal for $5.99. Nice specials!! My order was very good and my wife ended up with fish and chicken instead of all chicken. She wasn't happy about that but said the one tender was good. No time to wait for a corrected order. The order time to start with was fairly long. Food was good but the drive thru time was slow along with the incorrect order made for an average lunch
