Carmela’s at the Loft

How DISSAPOINTING was this establishment for Valentine's Day dinner. When we arrived with a 6:30 reservation, which was also confirmed with a phone call from Loft about their dinner special, the hostess acted as if she didn't have our information. She apologized and advised us that there was going to be a wait. We talked with two other couples who had the same situation. After a 40 min wait, we were finally seated at a "table," which consisted of a playing card table and a Dollar Store pink table cloth, with NO silverware or glassware. As we looked over the menu, the waitress did acknowledge us but did not return. We overheard the waitress tell another couple seated beside us that she was sorry and had no control over the kitchen for the delay of their meal. The other couple, when asked, informed us they had been there since their 5:30 reservation. At this point, we decided to cut our losses and left. This was very disappointing as we had gone to the effort of making a reservation at what we thought would be a nice establishment for a great Valentine's. I'm not sure if they overbooked or if they took walk-ins. However, it was a ridiculous situation and very unprofessional.

We made reservations for 7pm and got a call from the restaurant earlier in the week to confirm. We arrive to find out they don’t see our reservation because it was made online. We waited about 40 minutes for a table and watched a family of the same size that came in for their 7:30 reservation get seated before us. While waiting to be seated, we sat at the bar so that we could get drinks but neither bartender acknowledged us. After being seated, we watched waiters and waitresses walk by us probably close to 50 times and one stopped and said has anyone helped you and when we said no, she said I will be right back. We waited longer to see if she came back and she never did. At 8:50pm after being seated at a table for well over a hour with no acknowledgment, we left. Worse service ever!!! I have never seen staff that feels it is ok to just ignore their guest. We won’t the only ones that waited and walked out due to the lack of service. We will never go back!!

Food was delicious and our waiters were very nice and attentive to getting orders to correct tables. We were a large family gathering and we sat upstairs. They had us RSVP our meals in advance of event day to make sure restaurant had enough ingredients to cover weekend. Wait for food was longer than most considering they had advance notice of meals to prepare and ETA of arrival of party. Servings were generous and entrees came with a house salad as an appetizer. There in house balsamic vinaigrette was amazing! I had the sausage, peppers, and onions dish which came with pasta in red sauce. Was too full for dessert but their cheesecake looked delicious and family members verified it was good. Would come back but maybe on a less busy weekday. Oh, they have a really decent coffee too.

I ordered a cocktail but wasn’t told that the owner changed a main ingredient of the drink. The filet mignon was anything but. It was another cut of beef folded in half to give the customer the impression that they were eating a filet but a folded steak does Not make a filet!

First time eating here.. decided to do brunch.. Ordered crab stuffed mushrooms, omelette, bacon and potatoes everything was great.. hopefully I'll try the dinner menu soon..????

We went today for a Brunch Birthday! The service was unbelievable as they catered to us having a little one! The food was really great for the price. The waitress was best ever. The owner even came out and talked to us which is very rare nowadays!! This place is a hidden gem!!!!!

Kid-friendliness: Our waitress brought out sliced peaches and grapes for my grandson!!

I can’t say enough about this place! The food is amazing! Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! Staff was friendly and attentive, the owner even came out and introduced himself and let us know about the history of the restaurant and events he offers. Ambiance and attention to detail were excellent! The crab cake Benedict with asparagus and potatoes was one of the most delicious flavor combinations I have had the pleasure of eating! I look forward to returning!
