Ask locals to give me some suggestions of local places to eat that were not food chains, this place was one they suggested for the fries. Going inside we waited for several minutes then were told we could sit ourselves- but nothing was clean to sit at. Then when we sat down they did take our order- which is made to order so it does take awhile- but at least you know it is fresh and hot. The fries were amazing!!!! My husband got the double cheeseburger and said it was really good also. I got the calamari platter with the fries and mac n cheese. Again the fries are definitely what you go to this place for!! The mac and cheese is homemade but I didn't really care too much for it- calamari was okay just not my taste. Service was slow and the one waitress just acted as if she was on break when it came to seeing that we needed refills.

I’ve been going here since 2012. It’s always been a great spot for a burger and fries, a beer, and a game of pool. I live a few hours away, but I was visiting town and bright my 19 month old in and he was also a big fan of the burgers and fries. Thanks for being a staple in Lynchburg.

I love the burgers and the wedges/fries are some of the best tasting I’ve had, I just wish they’d bring the wedges/fries out near the same time as the burger. It seemed like it was almost 10-15 minutes they brought out the wedges/fries then they brought our burgers. Every time it’s like that tho but it’s not the end of the world type thing

So, valet at hotel told us about this place when asking for local (dive bars...). "Great burgers and fries". Was not wrong. Amazing large burger and the fries were fresh, spicy and hot! Evan at the bar was great. Totally will come back if in town again. Totally recommend if looking for local color and atmosphere

Not a good experience…waited over 45 min for a very simple meal (salads and chicken sandwiches). They only take cash or check which is unheard of these days but don’t worry they have a 3rd party ATM on site you can pay $4 to withdraw from. Customer service was a bit odd- they never stopped to check on us after we ordered or refilled waters. A bit of a bathroom smell to the place. Felt disorganized, and there are some in appropriate stickers on the wall and obscene writings on the door in the bathroom as “part of the charm” so be careful taking kids here. Would do better if they put some systems in place. Has potential though for sure. Nice and cheap though.
Kid-friendliness: Watch out for sexual stickers and language on the walls. I wouldn’t recommend bringing kids. It’s a bar.
