The double hamburger is one of the best burgers in Lynchburg. Great bargain . It is as good if not better than the craft burgers selling for twice the price. This is a nice and comfortable place to eat.

Sadly this isn’t the place it used to be back in the day, I remember when they opened the 1st place around here back in the early 2010’s up in Roanoke & it seemed like EVERYONE loved the place. It was the place to be after a party and want a quick good meal. Nowadays the burgers taste like they have freezer burn, the fries are soggy, and the chicken quesadillas barely has any chicken in at all…. At least the prices are substantially higher than they were back then tho, just about $3-4 higher for a cookout tray

I advise against using the drive thru. They have it two lanes which is fine. It’s the two different windows. That are unorganized . You can’t see when to pull up to the second window. Pretty sure an employee said something about not being able to read

Cook Out is amazing!! It’s Lynchburg that needs to catch up! You can go during the day and get in and out, but at night it is a nightmare to get in and out. I wasn’t going to give less stars for that reason but the night time parking lot is mess.
Got drive thru, service was very quick. Tried a custom burger, chicken tenders, and fries. Reminds me of five guys but cheaper/better value. Greasy but still good. Only wish they would toast their buns so the burger doesn't get soggy. But, would go again when craving fast food. Paid $30 for 2 burgers, sets of tenders, and fries (would have cost closer to $50 at five guys)
