We arrived about noon on a Saturday. The restaurant looked nice. However, the hostess said they only served breakfast on Saturday, so we went somewhere else.

This will be one of my stops when I'm in Lynchburg. The food was good, the service was impressive and best of all, it's extremely affordable. Country Kitchen feels like home.

Good food at a good price. Homey ambience with southern hospitality at its best. Yes it is an old gas station but what is waffle house? I have enjoyed eating here for over 30 years my parents have passed now i go with my family who enjoy it just as much. Glad they have kept it open with the owner health issues.

Their food is good home cooking and every time I go it is so delishous! The fish and fried oysters are the best!! They did change their hours. The hours are now Monday --Friday 7 am to 3 pm they are closed Sat. And Sun.

This is the most awesome place in the world. The service is impeccable and the food is outstanding. It is always a place to sit when you come in. My mother and I love it.Parking: It's kind of funny, but every time we go there, it's crowded, but we always have a parking space, love it.

For lunch I ordered a fried chicken that was burned on the outside and somehow ICE cold on the inside. This means it is either pre-cooked and then fried again from a cold state or it was partially frozen to begin with. Neither option is very appealing. Then I ordered the hamburger steak as a replacement and it came out immediately (like 30 seconds).Problem with this is, that it means the Hamburger is pre-cooked (and was very tough and super well done). The mashed potatoes weren't ice cold, but weren't even luke warm. This one is hard for me. The staff, the prices, and biscuits and gravy were very good. The staff is amazing. Honoring a community with 1980's pricing is amazing.Lunch was dangerous and disgusting. It really turned me off. Please cook food to order.I will try this place again for the years of great service, good food, and all the happy memories that you have already served up to the community.I truly hope that this is the exception and not the rule.I'm rooting for you guys. Thank you for all that you do right. See you soon.

Such a special place - I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and it’s still the same delicious, home cooked food! The staff are always wonderful and the prices are so reasonable. One of my favorite restaurants and truly a Lynchburg staple!
