Wow- the brisket sandwich is out of this world! Very tender juicy- delicious, melt in your mouth fat. I’m super impressed that Lynchburg has something as tasty as this place! It did cost me a small fortune, but it was worth it!!

My original review gave it a three star. Absolutely!! not because of the food. The food is amazing. Hands down best barbecue my wife and I have ever eaten and we are foodies. The original three stars was because on a large order they forgot several items. But they are redeemed!! Lol. You cannot stay mad at this kind of flavor. Honestly the best brisket I've ever eaten, my wife says it's the best pulled pork she's ever eaten. If I dropped that brisket on the ground I wouldn't even waste the time to pick it up. You would find me on the ground like our dog murphy face in the grass devouring it lol. That's how good this place is. As for it's forgetting one of the most important parts of a barbecue order. Which is human. No perfect human beings on this planet 😁. If you haven't tried it you have to. this place must be a destination on every foodie's and bbq lovers list.

County Smoak catered our wedding, and we could not be happier with the food and service! The BBQ was absolutely incredible—hands down the best in the Lynchburg area. All of our guests were raving about how delicious everything was. The team was professional, friendly, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. On top of that, the price was very fair for the quality and amount of food. We highly recommend County Smoak for any event—you won’t regret it!

In the area for work. This place had so many good reviews so wanted to try it. The people were super kind and happy and the service was quick. I didn't have to wait and my food came out in just a couple minutes.
I got the pulled pork sandwich with Mac n cheese. The Mac was delicious. The bread for the sandwich was dry (maybe a little old?) and fell apart pretty badly while I was trying to eat the sandwich. The flavor of the slaw and pulled pork was tasty, but it was also fairly dry (just added a little extra of their very tasty sweet BBQ sauce to it). Overall I'd say average - not great, but by no means terrible, either, when it comes to the main dish. May or may not come back again. If I do I will try a different item.

I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich with the mahogany sauce. The chicken was absolutely disgusting. It was gelatinous and did not have any taste. It also had a rubbery texture and smelled horrible. I expected better from a restaurant that is evidently so popular

Busy Sunday lunch; expect to wait a little to order if you visit during busy times. Use debit or pay with cash to avoid a 3% surcharge on credit payment. Despite the bustle, we had our order in hand within 10 minutes. We opted to eat at a shaded picnic table outside. My wife and I both opted for the brisket sandwich combo with collard greens as the side. Scrumptuous! I'd rank them on par with Buzz & Ned's in Richmond for taste and texture. So, if you enjoy good BBQ, be sure to visit County Smoak in the future.

I come here every time I'm in Lynchburg to visit my college kid. The food and service are always good. Tonight I don't think they were prepared for the college-move-in-crowd. They were understaffed and sold out of most food. I had a sausage on a bun and it did not taste as fresh as the food there usually does. Staff was pleasant despite being a bit frazzled. I will be back my next trip to lynchburg!
